A Night Next To A Pond - Twin Cascades And Frog Chorus
A sound recording was done next to a small trout pond in the high grasslands of South Africa close to Dullstroom. The small stream cascading into the pond, and the pond overflow where water flows out of the pond creates a stereo effect of running water. It was a foggy late autumn evening and frogs were calling almost nonstop. The main frog that can be heard is the Painted Reed Frog, with hundreds calling at the same time. In the background, a few Common River Frog can be heard calling from time to time. It is blissful sounds to take you to blissful sleep.
