Hi there and welcome to this gentle bedtime meditation.
My name is Alisha and I'm here to help you relax and get comfortable so that you can feel safe and have a restful night of sleep.
Go ahead and take a deep breath.
Fill your lungs with as much air as you can.
Good.
Now let it all out through your mouth.
Good.
Just like that.
And now I'd like you to gently blink your eyes three times.
And then on the third blink,
You can keep them closed.
Make your body nice and comfortable in whatever position feels the coziest to you.
Keeping your eyes closed,
I'd like you to imagine that your bed has been transformed into a giant pile of soft,
Squishy marshmallows.
They are so soft and spongy and your body relaxes so deeply and softly into them that you feel almost weightless as if you could float up into the sky.
You feel so relaxed on the bed of marshmallows and you feel your head relax.
You feel your neck soften.
You feel the muscles that you chew with relax in your mouth.
You feel your shoulders drop deeper into the nest of marshmallows.
You feel your arms relax and the fingers on your hands soften.
You feel your tummy relax and you feel your bottom relax.
You feel all the weight in your legs sink deeper into the soft support of the marshmallows.
You feel your feet and your wiggly toes relax.
And then you squeeze all the muscles in your body tight for a moment before you relax them all.
Breathe out and feel all the weight in your body drop deeply into your big,
Beautiful bed of soft,
Squishy marshmallows.
You feel the twinkle of the stars and the glow of the moon softly kiss your cheeks and you feel so relaxed and so safe.
You smile a little at the thought of sleeping on a bed of marshmallows as you let yourself relax deeply into sleep.
