Today's the day,
Thanks for showing up.
I'm Allison Shuhazi,
A super fan of energy work and engaging the intuition.
My career has spanned many genres,
Bringing me to become an intuitive coach and Reiki master.
I continue to collect a bundle of pivotal moments,
Whispers of wisdom,
And funny stories that have helped keep me real along this journey.
I hope that this podcast will ignite a spark within you to connect with your intuition and your whispers of wisdom.
So get ready because it's time to shift today with me,
Allison.
Hello,
Hello and welcome back.
Well,
We are living in unusual times,
I'm not going to use the word uncertain times,
I'm going to use the word unusual.
That is the shift I've made recently.
Uncertain can really have a negative connotation where unusual,
You never know what's coming,
Right?
So free,
We pause them,
We're open to something positive,
It might happen.
I do see a lot more positive happening in our world right now,
Amongst this COVID-19 bizarre stuff that's happening.
But I do see some positive.
So I'm just going to go ahead and start this podcast by letting you know you might hear some extra voices or some other noise in my background.
Because as like many of you,
I have two kids working,
Working on spring break right now.
And my husband is working from home.
And here I am trying to get these podcasts done.
Anyway,
I do have a story for you today.
The title,
If you saw was called Clickety Clack.
And it really goes along with all of the noise we have that is surrounding us.
And typically right now,
We have many things going on at home,
All of our schedules,
Most of us our schedules have been shifted.
And if most are spending time reading different various pieces online,
On social media and in various areas,
And as I am as well.
But I am limiting what I read,
And when I read it and who I listen to.
Just because of the uncertainty and I don't like the illusions that are being pumped through the media and being pumped through social media.
So I'm really trying again to stay hopeful and not go into the worry,
Worry side of things.
Anyway,
Okay,
Back to my story.
Clickety Clack,
This came up recently,
Before all this went down,
And I'm stopped seeing my clients in person.
This this kind of message came through.
And I'm like,
Oh,
I think this is not only,
You know,
Something for you,
But I thought,
God,
This is a really great reminder for me.
And,
And I said to her,
I said,
Gosh,
Maybe I should share this on a podcast.
She's like,
I think it's a great idea.
So here I am,
I'm getting ready to share with you a Clickety Clack story.
And this happened,
Geez,
I don't even know it's been within the last year for sure that this actually happened.
But here we go.
So I was out to dinner with the kids and my husband.
And we're just sitting in this restaurant and we're at a booth.
And the where I can see I could see some booths,
It was kind of like an L shaped area.
So I could see across from us these these other people who were sat at this booth,
And it was two women and a man.
And they sat down and you know,
They were taking having their orders taken or whatever and talking and,
And the gentleman stood up to go somewhere,
I was assuming maybe to the bathroom.
And when he stood up,
I heard this noise,
This Clickety Clack on the ground.
I'm like,
Well,
That's odd.
It kind of sounded like something plastic hitting the floor.
You know what that sound is?
I'm looking he's looking around.
Like,
What is that?
You know,
No one in my family's paying attention.
They're doing whatever they're doing.
And,
And I'm like,
What is that?
No,
Like what what fell when he stood up?
That was just so odd.
Well,
He's looking around and the woman who he was one of the women he was with stood up and she's like,
Well that and I could tell that they were all kind of perplexed too.
And she got up and she stood and she went and she grabbed something off the floor.
And it was like a water bottle cap,
You know,
A plastic cap for water bottle or soda bottle or whatever.
And but they didn't have any plastic bottles with them.
They didn't have anything on their table that was plastic bottle or I mean,
It was just not a situation to have a plastic bottle but they all kind of looked at it like what in the world where this come from.
So anyway,
I didn't really think much of it at the at the time.
And then after we got done eating,
We left and we went over to Target.
For whatever reason,
We had to pick something up.
And so we went to Target and of course,
The my husband went off with the kids to go to the toy section because that's their favorite and I went to run the errands and get all the stuff we needed and and I think I am like most of you I like the little end caps where all the sales stuff is a target.
Can I get a show of hands for that?
I mean,
That's I beeline for that first and I was over by the you know,
The lotions and shampoos and I was on that end cap looking around at the sale stuff and I saw this man he caught my eye not the man but the fact that he had this gaggle of girls.
I mean,
He had probably four or five,
Maybe even six little girls with him and I'm talking little meaning like the oldest might have been nine and the youngest was probably three,
Maybe anyway and they're all of course all looking at the hair bows and the hair stuff and brushes and all that stuff and he's on a mission I can see he's on a mission and he's going somewhere and it was again the reason this caught my eye is because here they're walking and none of them had anything in their hands and all of a sudden right as they pass me I hear clickety clack the same sound that I had heard at the restaurant and mind you I think I might have forgotten to tell you this the man heard that clickety clack at the restaurant he put the cap down after having this perplexed look and he kept going where he was headed which I think was the bathroom so I understand that but here I'm now at Target I hear the same sound and it's an another person with this gaggle of girls and he stops and he's looking around and they're all looking around and there's other people not a lot of people but there's other people around and I'm looking and I'm like I don't see anyone has anything and the one little girl stopped and she picked up a cap that looked exactly like the cap that was just at the restaurant right and I'm thinking what in the world and he walks over and he's like what do you I thought you I said no no to everything and the little girl's like I don't even know what this is for from or whatever and granted now here I am at Target so there's more opportunity to have a cap in Target but it doesn't make sense of where it came from what it's for again it looked like a little soda cap or a water bottle cap or you know those little caps and so he's like well just put it down we gotta go and so you know she puts it down and he you know grabs the girls and they're headed headed on their way right and I'm like what in the world is this like this hits me like a ton of bricks so like a bunch of caps maybe I'm like why am I even paying attention to this like why is this a thing number why are there's two places that I'm hearing this clickety-clack and things are falling right so later on you know a little time goes by and I the next morning I'm doing my writing and I'm sitting there doing my I do these sometimes I depends on what kind of catches my mind of what I need to write about in the morning sometimes I do my Oracle cards or tarot cards or sometimes I just read through beautiful quotes or sometimes I just turn my music on and just start writing which I call automatic writing and who knows what comes out and there's a lot of things that come out anyway so I just started automatic writing and all of a sudden the clickety-clack sound the thought of the caps came in my mind and so I started writing about this and I thought oh my gosh I know exactly what this means for me what it means for me and then during that time that the clickety-clacks were happening there were so many and I don't know if many of you feel this but a lot of times I'll get to a point where I have so many ideas of things I want to create or things I need to get done or my to-do list whatever it is and there's multiple to-do lists the older you get the more to-do list you have at least I do and I know some of my friends do as well and it was the whole idea of the clickety-clack that clicked for me and what it meant for me and what it does mean for me now even and I think of this you know regularly is when I become overwhelmed I get the clickety-clack the noise of all the other things I need to get done will take precedent over what I really want to do so for instance I might be wanting to start taping these podcasts but I will get completely sidetracked because I have four loads of laundry I need to do my sink is filled with dishes and I've got to unload the dishwasher I need to rake the leaves because you know spring is coming and I got to get that done I've got to get stuff done for school I've got to get stuff done for my kids I have to get stuff done for my retreats I need to make sure that I reschedule somebody whatever it is I got to get to that doctor appointment I need to take something to my neighbor I need to blah blah blah blah whatever is coming up there's all this other noise but I'm not stopping to get one thing done and touch one thing to do it effectively and to do it really well instead I'm sidetracked somebody calls and they needs me now you know my child will run in and say hey I need this instead of me setting up little boundaries saying hey I've got to work for an hour I need to get this done I'm turning off my phone I'm not accepting emails don't knock at my door unless the house is on fire whatever it is I will get sidetracked but when I start setting up the boundaries and taking away the clickety clacks the things that drop in front of me that somebody else needs done immediately I back off I set it to the side and I keep on my course that is the new direction that I am heading and it's beneficial for everyone because we all don't need something immediately sometimes we do and I understand that sometimes my son does fall off his bike at the end of the driveway and all of a sudden now we have a bloody issue so yeah things like that do happen however if I don't stay in my lane that I want to get something done it's never going to happen and then it's an emergency or then I'm running behind or I'm not fulfilling something that I wanted to do for someone else and or for myself so there's definite times when the clickety clacks the noise that's around us can get very very loud but if we pay attention to when we need to pause and we need to stay focused and we need to say no to somebody else and we need to say you know what not right now but I can get to an in an hour then we can effectively get done what we need to do and stay focused stay organized and keep the path in our mind clear for the next project for the next emergency for the next moment whatever we need to focus on so this is kind of a time where all of our schedules are getting rearranged all of us have new clickety clacks in the way my latest clickety clack was these kids are now out of school unexpectedly immediately and I've got to become a teacher right I've got to do this stuff so we were just winging it and then all of a sudden I said no no no we need a schedule we need to line things up not just for you guys but for me too so I can get my stuff done I've got stuff going on too so what do we do we paused we lined up our schedule of what it's gonna look like and we've stayed on the schedule and I just remember my son on Friday he's like mom I really like this new school schedule it's I feel like I'm getting so much more done and I'm thinking did my eight-year-old just say that he really likes the new school schedule and he's getting more done I was shocked but I was really pleased and it was a positive that came out of a click clickety clack moment so anyway well just for today try to take a minute we all have a lot of stressors going on some are definitely run more deep than others and know that we're all here we're all going to have different perceptions on what is happening but just for today try to pause when you hear a clickety clack or you see something or you're getting overwhelmed and try to find a way that you can stay on course even if it's just for an hour stay your course figure out what you can shift that might allow you to stay on course and or help somebody else stay on course too all right well if you need a boost or you need something please feel free to give me a shout I thank you so much for joining me today and I hope you are able just to even pause get outside walk around get some fresh air and just reconnect with yourself well until next time shift today into a greater tomorrow.
You
