I've had no sleep everyone so just to let you know,
I'm hoping my brain still will actually work for this entire podcast.
One of the perks of having young children.
You know all about that.
I do.
Yeah so we're going to blast the taboos today aren't we?
We are definitely.
So you will hear words that you might not usually hear in a podcast like orgasm,
Masturbation.
You might hear work swearing because we do sometimes swear but it is always contextual.
We get passionate.
You get a bit passionate.
So that's just a little disclaimer for you all.
Brilliant.
So what do we mean by sexuality?
Well we're talking about the energetic spiritual energy so this is not just about sexual intercourse with another person.
This is of course you know an expression of our sexual energy but when we talk about sexual energy today we're referring to the Shakti Kundalini creative energy that we all have inside of us and it's magnetic in nature and incredibly powerful.
However a few women are actually awakened to the true spiritual depths of their sexuality thanks to the patriarchy.
Yeah and just to say like an inclusion type thing we're absolutely in this with you.
You know this is something that we need to also reawaken to and continue to reawaken to.
Oh absolutely.
Yeah so in ancient times our sexuality was completely revered but with the introduction of patriarchy female sexuality has been totally redefined especially you know dare I say with the introduction of patriarchal religions which introduced the concept of sex as sinful and the I mean the power structures in place have never completely been able to control our sexual expression but we have been oppressed and mainly through female sexual pleasure it's been shaped.
Whether that's with another person whether that's through masturbation the focus of sexual pleasure historically and even now is male gratification and also how women should appear to be sexy.
So it's still all aimed at how men can feel pleasured and obviously there is a lot of you know a lot less sexual stigma nowadays and there is a lot more sexual fluidity which luckily fortunately allows for an ever widening and more inclusive spectrum of sexuality.
You know we used to define people by homosexuality or heterosexuality but again fortunately the language used in terms of sexual orientation has evolved and is still evolving but the essence of it is female sexuality is controlled and I mean that it can be controlled in much darker ways which is even so difficult for me to even you know think about let alone talk about but we need to bring light to you know female genital mutilation,
Sexual objectification,
Sexual exploitation,
You know it's a very sinister thing to think about sex trafficking,
Prostitution but you know there could absolutely be you know a rogue avant-garde prostitute who genuinely chooses to exchange sexual practice for money as a career choice and that's fine but for the most part most forms of prostitution are forced on the woman or the man of course and the woman has been dominated or controlled which just again reinforces this idea that women are sex objects and it's just the idea of prostitution has dramatically changed doesn't it?
Historically in a spiritual context because it is a spiritual podcast priestesses would have been sort of very sexually powerful wouldn't they?
Absolutely I mean you know if we're talking about thousands of years ago in more you know matriarchal times there were sacred sexual priestesses or sacred prostitutes and they were highly respected as healers because they would heal others both men and women through their sexuality and they were seen as true embodiments of the goddess you know true embodiments of the divine feminine and that was their gift given to them by the goddess to heal others to understand how they can heal through their sexuality and it was so much different to how it is today because they were highly respected they were seen as sacred their body was seen as sacred their gifts were were honored it was just very different to what prostitution has become today and we seem to have two archetypes as women now we tend to have you know the virgin v's the whore uh these tend to be the two main archetypes for women regarding sexuality so we're either pure or we're dirty and this causes all kinds of problems you know the guilt uh repression it causes us to just repress our sexual feelings our sexual desires you know and sometimes this is conscious and we know that this is going on and you know we know we're holding shame or guilt uh around our sexuality but a lot of the time this is unconscious too um and it's stuff we're carrying from even past lives or our female lineage uh and it's it's something that's been really helpful for me is to look at the beliefs that i have absorbed and taken on from the world around me about sex that sex is you know somehow wrong bad or dirty that we shouldn't be sexual it's like the curse of the good girl you know so like yeah yeah girls um that it's wrong to dress sexy to be experimental and so on and and if we do dress sexy and we wear the short skirt you know we're branded loose easy a whore we're asking for trouble i think that's um what's most disturbing and uncomfortable for me that just because a woman dresses in a in a way that expresses her beautiful sexuality and yeah her freedom in that way uh there's a judgment there around her and what she's like so that tends to be what we have the virgin bees the whore and um where's the wild woman it's the wild woman archetype that we need to reawaken within us um and it's that ripple effect so when we awaken it within us we inspire others to do the same and um it helps us to to challenge out the beliefs that we've had up until now around what sex is what feeling sexual is um because the wild woman archetype offers us you know the image the feeling the energy of a woman who is comfortable in herself and her sexuality in her body you know she's free she's free to love herself free to love others uh she's empowered that's the most important thing you know that she's empowered everything she does it's her choice uh she knows that her sexuality is a highly creative you know life force energy yeah um yeah that can give birth to not only new life in the form of children but new plans new goals it's such a uh magical for me you know it's the highest you know sex magic you know tantra it's only something i'm just getting into now deeply really but it's so but it's so incredibly powerful and um it's something that yeah it would be great if we could you know awaken that within us so how can we embrace it fully yeah so how can we heal it and i think actually how we heal it is as a collective as a circle of women it's such a you know a healing thing to come together as a circle and i know that is yeah and when we do the meditation at the end because hopefully in every podcast we'll um we'll be able to include a meditation which i think today is on womb wisdom womb magic so uh it would be amazing that you know at the end of every podcast if we came together as a circle and meditated together to heal sort of you know female collective consciousness that would be amazing but aside from that you know just really you know sexual awakening how do we do that really inhabiting our bodies really inhabiting our bodies so surrendering to personal pleasure um allowing us to combine spiritual and sexual pleasure power our bodies are absolute sacred temples and our wombs are the altar of those temples so really reintegrating ourselves with our beautiful bodies and there's a lot there may be a lot of healing around that subject and i don't i don't want that to come across as you know that's an overnight thing an easy thing necessarily um but we can start small and um you know there has been so much ancestral shame and confusion around the subject that just maybe today asking yourself what is your deepest desire you know just to move into that space or making a commitment or a declaration of rediscovering a sexual space um and essentially more time away from out of world thinking which is you know the basic premise of meditation the better because you know one of the reason why one of the reasons why orgasm feels so amazing is and so aesthetic is because we're in a no thinking space it's just pure bliss um complete connection with the divine completely in that moment completely just one one there is nothing else you're just one with everything and you can allow that to you know spread into not just in that one climax but spread into um spill into your life in other ways you know even womb meditations heart-centered breathing um sort of being tender with your body can also use the mantra um it's a lovely one i'm clean so i'm clean so you can repeat that you know in a in a meditative space and that i think is um related to goddess lolita goddess lolita you know please do look her up i urge you to do that if you can she is the goddess of love and um she presides over sacred sexuality and you know as this is um a goddess feminism podcast we like to relate it back to goddesses and her form is in in a rapture and she channels this kundalini energy you're talking about this creative life force this desire in an unashamed way um over the mundane you know because life can be really mundane and what the the wild woman energy can feel like life is mundane and she finds no shame in joining guide you uh in your journey back to um sacred sexual pleasure she sounds amazing and i do try and practice kundalini rakan there's not actually one so near me but um that's a way for me to um you know tune into this sexual life force that's brilliant i think that's it is following your instincts and just trusting what you feel drawn to for me i love to dance um i recently brought a belly dancing belt just to you know put on some music and do it myself and you know yoga i'm really drawn to you know to beginning my yoga practice again so anything that connects you and that's different obviously each woman each woman you know that's completely different but um i think just trusting that and following that and spending time that can really awaken so much just a process once you begin and you hold that intention to to heal awaken connect with that energy uh that sexuality then you know you'll be guided in doing so so you know you'll be guided in doing so won't you yeah so i'm hoping that um all together we can you know start the journey of healing this um this uh ancestral difficult um you know is has been a bit of an issue for us so i'm really hoping that now in meditation we can we can come together yeah absolutely and we've got a really lovely meditation for you today um it's a womb healing meditation and it's from our album sacred womb which can be filmed on audible and uh this particular meditation is all about going into the womb first we'll connect him with that sacred center and going in and bringing healing to the energy there clearing away the you know any ancestral past life connections ties that hold us back and and just you know keep us disconnected from our true sexual self so that's the meditation for you today uh you know and we meditate on our womb because um it is such our such a sacred center this is the place that we can connect with that shakti creative life force energy and it's important to say as well that if you're a woman who doesn't physically have uh the womb organ it doesn't matter you can still absolutely oh absolutely because it's just it's an energetic center and we're talking energetically this meditation is working on that part of us you know energetically spiritually so this is still absolutely for you too um uh so yeah working with the womb in this way and connecting with our womb um it helps us to awaken our sexual energy embrace our divinity as a true embodiment of the goddess which we all know yeah so um if you do decide to have a listen make sure you're in a safe place where you can just zone out uh safely for a while where you've got no Com and please bear with us with the quality this one has hopefully been an improvement on the last one um so uh we are new at this but we have some new equipment so we're hoping that as time goes on it's going to get better and better yeah yes thank you very much and take care take care you blessings beautiful women and welcome to this womb healing meditation to begin find yourself somewhere comfortable to relax somewhere where you can drift safely and completely and disconnect from the outside world for a while you may like to light a candle and cover your shoulders with a shawl to symbolize the embrace of our great mother goddess but this isn't absolutely necessary of course simply do whatever feels best for you you gently close your eyes bring your attention to your breathing and begin to enjoy some deep and soothing breaths cleansing body mind and soul freeing yourself from any stress or tension and coming back to yourself you can bring your attention to your womb now connecting to this sacred center your sacred center imagine roots flowing down from your womb down through the floor and into the earth all the way down to connect with the center of the earth and the powerful healing pink energy that swirls and surges here experience the energy feminine in nature powerful and strong yet soothing and nurturing at the same time and nurturing at the same time on your next inhale imagine breathing this healing energy up through your roots inviting this pink healing energy into your womb as it arrives in your womb it begins to create a powerful swirling spiraling motion clearing away any old non-serving energy whether it be on the physical emotional or spiritual level powerfully this pink spiraling energy cleanses your womb of all physical discomfort and dis-ease you become free and healed from all emotional pain and trauma that may have been stuck here you begin to experience a deep sense of peace and connection to yourself your womb the earth and the great mother goddess all and any energy that you hold in your womb that is not for your highest good and that is not serving you is transmuted into light energy now all and any energy that you hold in your womb that is not for your highest good and that is not serving you is transmuted into light energy now all unhelpful karma ancestral energies past life energies that hold you back and prevent you from being your highest self simply disappear now and you don't even have to know or understand what these energies are or where they came from but you just have to be willing to let them go and this swirling pink energy begins to expand and fill the rest of your body now as your entire being bathes in the beauty of this sacred energy the essence of the great mother the great goddess awaken the knowledge within the truth that is that you are one with the great mother awaken the knowledge within the truth that is that you are one with the goddess you are whole and complete right now you are healed so so so so so so and you become aware once again of your roots connected to mother earth your connection is strong powerful sacred and true you feel thankful for the healing that you have received today and you send a blessing of love to the earth as an offering of your gratitude and love simply imagine this feeling of love flowing down through your roots into the earth feeding her nurturing her giving her life nurturing her giving her life it's time to return to the outside world now so you can begin to become aware of your body as it rests there as you start to gently open your eyes now feeling calm centered and connected now welcome back with love and blessings to you
