Welcome to this guided meditation for sleep.
My name is Joy,
And I will be guiding you in today's meditation.
To begin,
Take a seat or lay down.
Get comfortable and then close your eyes.
To calm our body and mind,
Take a deep breath in.
Hold for three seconds at the top.
And then exhale out in a large sigh.
Continue these deep breaths for one minute.
Let your breathing return to normal now.
Visualize along with me,
But if you feel yourself drifting off and sleep beckoning you.
Allow yourself to fade into sleep.
Feel how comfortable your body is.
How supported you are in your band.
Your pillows and all the comfortable things around you.
Picture yourself laying down in a boat.
Floating softly down a river.
You are completely safe.
The night sky is bright.
No clouds and you can see all the stars.
The moon.
And the glow from the starlight.
And there's a gentle breeze on your skin.
Take a moment to just enjoy this.
You You see a shooting star across the night sky.
Set an intention for yourself as you drift to sleep.
How restful it could be.
Just how peaceful.
Tell your body it is safe to fall asleep.
Thank it for all it did today.
Thank yourself for all you've done today.
As you move down this lazy river.
All the thoughts of what needs to be done tomorrow.
What's expected of you falls away.
You are exactly where you need to be.
Your boat floats over to the shore.
And you can hear the water lapping the beach.
Everything is restful.
And peaceful.
Continue to just stay in this peaceful resting energy.
Listen to the music.
As you fade.
Into sleep
