Welcome to this morning meditation.
The goal of this meditation is to allow you to start your day with energy,
Intention and peace.
When you're ready,
Find a comfortable position,
Whether sitting or lying down.
And just for a few moments,
Take a few deep breaths in as a way of arriving to this moment.
Breathing in through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
Take this moment to feel into your body.
Feel where there may be any tension.
Pay attention to the area between your eyes,
Your neck,
Your shoulders.
And with each in-breath and out-breath,
Breathe out any tension.
Breathe in,
Bring awareness to the feeling in your body.
Breathe out and allow the gravity to let your shoulders fall lower,
Your arms to feel slightly heavier,
Your jaw to drop.
And with the next in-breath,
Arrive exactly where you are.
We're going to take a moment to just bring kind and loving awareness to the present moment.
The day has just begun and our mind is often racing,
Ready to seize the day.
But right now we're just about being here.
Let's bring awareness to our head area.
What do you feel there?
How does everything feel?
Do you feel any tension or do you feel lightness?
You can also feel nothing at all and that's also completely fine.
What about your shoulder area?
It's a place where we so often carry weight figuratively.
A lot of tension resides there.
So how does this area feel right now,
This morning?
What about your chest?
Can you pay awareness to your chest as it moves when you breathe?
Inflating and deflating.
And finally bring awareness to your arms as they rest on your thighs or next to your body.
How do your arms and your hands feel in this beautiful morning?
Do they feel light or heavy?
Is there any pleasant or unpleasant sensation?
We're just observing here.
And so as we've done this little scan assessing how things are going this morning,
I would like you to imagine with the next in-breath,
Whether you're sitting or you're lying down,
That there is a string above your head that is attached to you.
And imagine that string that goes directly to the center of your head being pulled up,
Helping you align and strengthen and straighten your spine,
Gently elevating you.
Putting you even in a stronger position of dignity and alertness.
You radiate resilience and power,
But also calmness.
So stay with this feeling of energy and string.
And we're going to repeat a few affirmations to get you started into the day.
I am responsible to make this day a great day.
Nobody has the power to make this day difficult for me.
I choose to be positive and to speak kindness whenever I can.
There's an infinite source of calm within me.
I have the power to remain calm and peaceful.
I choose to make this day a great one.
I have the power to achieve anything I want today.
I radiate calm,
Positive energy.
This day will be a beautiful day.
Now as you let these affirmations resonate,
Maybe there is one that stood out or one that comes to your mind which feels very powerful,
That resonates with you.
So take the next few moments just to repeat that one affirmation that resonates with you the most.
By letting yourself breathe without effort and keeping a posture of dignity and strength.
Now when you're ready,
You can place your hand on your heart or on your belly.
And take a very deep breath in through your nose.
And exhale through the mouth.
And again inhale through the nose.
And exhale through the mouth.
Now you can take a second to thank yourself for spending this moment,
Calibrating yourself for this day,
Setting your intention to make this day a beautiful one.
And whenever you're ready,
You can open your eyes,
Take in your surrounding,
And get ready for this beautiful day.
