Good morning mom friend,
Welcome to the start of a brand new day.
Before you breathe life into everyone else around you,
Take a moment to breathe into yourself,
Noticing the sensations in your own body as the air passes through your nose,
The back of your throat,
Filling your lungs,
And as you exhale,
Letting go,
The release.
Today is a new day with new opportunities,
New chances to love and connect,
New chances to react differently,
New chances to breathe.
In case you need to hear it,
You're doing a great job.
It's not about being perfect all the time.
It's also not about tearing ourselves down for all of the moments we feel we could have done better,
It's okay to just be doing your best.
So I am proud of you for taking just a few minutes this morning to breathe and check in,
Because just as we can return to our breath,
We can return to our hearts and return to love.
So instead of repeating the pattern of feeling guilty or not good enough,
Choose to try.
Don't be afraid to try something new,
Don't be afraid to say you're sorry or that you were wrong.
You are the example of always choosing to show up and to try your best.
You are the example for admitting your mistakes.
Remind yourself to breathe and return to your heart.
If you're going to overthink,
Overthink the positives,
The hugs,
The I love you's.
Feel the cool fresh air of this fresh new day.
Give yourself a moment to focus on one small thing you can do today to help yourself be reminded to slow down,
To take a breath,
To choose connection.
When you're ready to begin your day,
Maybe place a hand on your heart,
Spend time with yourself in one more cleansing breath in and out,
Allowing the expectations to melt away.
Doing your best is enough.
