Welcome Radiant Soul,
My name is Nola Bloom and today I am sharing a gentle practice for unwinding after a busy day,
A simple soothing way to help you relax into your evening.
Now let's begin by getting yourself really comfortable.
You may wish to curl up in your favorite chair or lie down on your back.
Close your eyes and take a few slow,
Deep breaths.
Your work day is over now.
There is nowhere you need to be.
There is nothing you need to do.
This moment belongs entirely to you.
Take another deep breath,
Expanding softly through the belly,
And exhale,
Letting the body settle into ease.
Allow the rhythm of your breath to smooth itself out.
With every exhale,
Feel more softness arriving in your body.
Take a moment here to honor all your efforts today.
Everything you showed up for,
Everything you tended to,
And everything you moved through.
Let yourself truly appreciate who you are and all that you do.
Take a gentle breath and whisper inwardly,
Thank you.
Just thank you.
Let that feeling of gratitude ripple through your whole being.
Notice the subtle unwinding that begins when you soften towards yourself.
Now invite the body to relax piece by piece.
Relax the space between your eyebrows,
Letting the muscles of the brow loosen and release.
Relax the cheeks,
The jaw,
We hold so much tension here when the mind is busy.
Allowing this area to soften helps the mind to soften too.
Relax the cheeks,
The jaw,
Let the shoulders drop down and away from the ears.
Feel the arms growing heavier,
Each finger softening.
Relax the chest,
The belly,
And let the hips sink into support.
Feel the legs growing heavier and heavier,
And the toes gently relaxing.
Your whole body becomes warm,
Spacious,
And at ease.
Take a big breath in,
And a long releasing breath out.
Let all the stress,
All the tightness,
All the leftover tension just melt away.
Take another big breath,
And let it all go with a nice deep sigh.
Ahhhh.
Simply notice the breath as it moves in and out of your body.
Nothing to change,
Nothing to fix,
Just presence,
Just softness.
Be proud of yourself for taking this time to nourish your body,
Mind,
And spirit.
Now rest here for a few more moments,
And allow your evening to gently unfold.
Namaste
