Welcome back to the Blue Dragon Healing Podcast.
Today we are joined by Lindsay Wise,
Also known as Shamama Wise.
She is a shamanic practitioner,
Energy healer,
And intuitive coach.
Lindsay has had several near-death experiences that really impacted her work in a very deep way,
And we're going to explore those experiences and how they've shaped her approach to healing.
Lindsay will also discuss how she manages her energy,
Which is a crucial aspect of her practice,
And then later she'll demonstrate her unique modality,
Ceremonial energy medicine,
Which integrates various healing tools and skills that she's picked up over her path as a healer.
So let's dive in.
Let's talk a little bit about your near-death experience.
You know,
Reading about you and all that you've been through,
It seems to be an integral part of your initiation into the work you're doing.
So I'd love to get a little bit of insight into the initiation of that and what that was like.
Sure.
Well,
There's the shiny near-death experience that you read about in the About segment of my website,
And the one that I talk about more,
And yet one that I don't talk about,
Is something that happened prior,
And that was after losing a beloved and being in such a deep,
Dark space of mourning,
And I actually tried to take my own life,
And I actually did succeed,
And yet was shown,
I was brought back into my body,
And I was shown that it was not my time to go,
And that was something that I had to really process,
Was being in the here and the now,
And then not too long later,
In childbirth,
I gave birth to a beautiful daughter,
And we didn't know,
But she was meant to be twins,
And the second,
The twin,
The placenta,
It was stuck inside,
So I had a beautiful water birth at home,
And I birthed the placenta,
And then the midwife,
She was receiving bowl after bowl of my blood,
And she called a paramedic,
And I actually signed a consent that we wouldn't sue them if I died,
Because I said,
No,
This is a home birth,
I'm not going to a hospital,
I'm not getting in the car with all these firemen and paramedics,
And so I stayed,
And I actually died,
And when I bled to death,
I found myself surrounded by multitudes of light beings,
All rainbow luminescent soul family,
Is what I can call them,
And as I speak of this,
We have a cherry blossom tree,
And it's blowing in the spring wind right now,
All of these petals upon petals,
And that's what it felt like,
That these souls were seemingly within and all around,
Everywhere I looked,
And they were all emanating a frequency of sonic vibration that sounded much like a crystal singing bowl,
All tones,
All frequencies,
And they knew me and remembered me,
And I remembered who I was there in that constellation of soul family,
And the beloved that had passed on that I had wanted to still be with was actually there,
And when I went to hug him,
He morphed into what I knew as the Christ consciousness,
And as we hugged all of those multitudes of light beings of sound and light vibration,
We all became one,
And then my husband says I was being slapped harder than he's ever seen anyone slapped by my midwife,
Who'd been a midwife for 30 years,
And she's an ayahuasquera,
A beautiful woman who has navigated the unseen realms,
And she commanded me back in my body,
And right when I came to,
I said,
I'm dreaming,
I'm having the most beautiful dream,
I need to go back to it,
And they said don't close your eyes,
You're not dreaming,
You're white as a sheet,
There's another paramedics coming,
And you need to get in at this time,
And as I got in,
I will never forget seeing my husband holding our gorgeous new baby,
Our daughter,
And I just waved goodbye,
I was like a little girl going to school for the first day,
Like excited,
And I felt like I'll be back to them in a moment,
But I need to go back to that celestial realm,
And yet I died again in the ambulance,
And I got to experience something known as Samadhi,
Which is a Sanskrit word,
Where there's no question,
There is no answer,
And it is the most deep peace,
And then I started to become aware of my being,
And it felt like I was a pearl,
Like a crystalline pearl in the bottom of the ocean,
And that I had been there for at least an eon,
I'd gotten a really good rest,
And I could feel my guides,
And the universe communicating with me,
And saying okay,
It's time now,
You need to go back,
And showing me the sacred work that I'm here to do,
My Dharma,
My sole purpose,
And initiating the sonic realms of this light frequency,
And I actually didn't want to come back into my body,
Because I perceived my mind as being a hell matrix,
I begged,
No,
No,
No,
No,
No,
Please don't make me go back into the hell matrix,
And I could feel completely connected to my daughter,
To my husband,
To all my family,
It was complete peace,
In a way it felt like I was closer to them in my death,
Than being alive,
Yet spirit was very clear,
As I came back in,
The hospital used electricity to resuscitate me a number of times,
Then they gave me five units of blood,
As I was receiving the blood,
Was a really poignant time for that initiation,
Because I've learned a lot about,
You know,
Focusing on the seven generations behind us,
And the seven generations ahead,
And it almost felt like a cosmic limiting,
Not a joke,
Or a belief,
But this sensation of,
Oh,
So,
So much farther than just seven generations back,
All the blood that was pouring into my body,
Was beyond any form of gender,
Race,
Religion,
Any of the societal constructs that could be perhaps labeled in blood,
And it was just rainbow love,
And so as I received all of the blood,
I actually was also connecting in with the guides,
The spirit allies,
And the soul missions of the people who had donated their blood,
And put that in to my soul,
And it really,
It charged me up so much,
So that as I came back into my body,
And I got to nurse my beautiful daughter,
And be in the present moment,
It gave me the courage,
And the strength to really rise up,
And help others through a form of an awakening process of a death,
And a rebirth,
And that's a part of the work I love sharing,
Is called Soul Song Revival,
Helping people to do soul retrieval work,
Not just on their voice,
But I love voice retrieval as well,
And bringing people into an awareness of moving forward beyond a state of death,
Or lack,
Or not having enough,
And stepping into the birthright of our cosmic,
Infinite nature of sound,
Light,
And beauty.
Well,
That is one heck of a story.
You mentioned that when you came back to your body,
That you had a newfound sense of courage,
That allowed you to really rise up,
And help others.
If you were coming back,
And this experience changed you,
Clearly you must have started making different choices in your everyday life.
Could you give us a glimpse into how your daily life started to shift after you went through that?
One of the first changes that I noticed was my voice.
I was born on 12-12,
Which is not only the day of the Lady Guadalupe,
But also it's the day of the voice,
And I felt like my voice really had transformed,
And I also felt like I had connected with my Oversoul.
So I started to witness Lindsay as this beautiful earth being,
But also I had connected with my Oversoul,
Whose name is Anakosha.
And when I connected with this Oversoul aspect of my consciousness,
It instilled a deep sense of peace,
As well as courage for the earthly mission of Lindsay to be able to follow through.
One of the things that I noticed as a new mama was that my time was so precious,
And I started to play music,
And I'd always written songs and poetry,
But I started to write a lot more and create a lot more,
And I was at the park and in nature,
And the veil became very thin.
It was always thin,
And I'd been involved in healing arts and with the Unseen Realms ever since I can remember.
But yeah,
After coming back into my body,
There was a lot of expansion and opening there.
When my daughter was six months old,
I'll never forget holding a pregnancy test that was positive,
And I said,
But I already have a baby.
Everyone warned me,
Oh,
You have to go to the hospital for this birth,
And there was no way I was going back into the hospital for a birth,
And I birthed again in my home in the water,
And it was the same midwife.
I got to give birth on 11-11,
At 1-11,
And my son was born in the call,
In the bag of waters,
That amniotic sack,
And it was such a mystical birth,
And then I brought him through,
And so I had these two little magical beings,
And I worked with children so that I could bring my kiddos along and continued time in nature,
Song.
I did a training on how to teach kids yoga,
And I started to weave song and dance and play and yoga into my lifestyle and bringing the kiddos along with me,
And so I think that that also was a big shaping in my life of how to be in the present moment,
That's the medicine of children,
How to be childlike,
How to have fun,
And then I was at a soul singing type retreat in Big Sur at the Esalen Institute,
And I had a really powerful experience driving back,
And I'd had a dream,
Actually,
Praying and praying and praying that came from that drive,
So I came back from Esalen,
And I prayed,
And I said to the universe,
I know we're supposed to be somewhere else,
I know my children are young,
Please show me a sign,
I know that there's something beyond what we're doing,
And that night I had a really beautiful dream of a dear woman,
And not a dear woman,
But she is dear,
And she was in the rice paddies.
I felt at peace hugging her,
And I knew just to wait,
And that everything was in divine alignment.
I told my husband about the dream,
And nine months later met a man at a concert in San Francisco,
And after that nine-month gestation period,
It was sweet because he said,
Have you heard of Ubud,
Bali?
You should check it out,
My partner has a yoga school there,
And that night I looked on the website,
And it was the woman from my dream.
I reached out,
And I convinced my husband to quit his job as a school principal,
And to take our two and three-year-old children to Bali.
That was another maha,
Massive initiation for us,
Because there the veils are so thin.
That catapulted us into the next stage of our spiritual evolution,
And we lived there for eight years,
And our children got to be in school,
And I was practicing healing arts,
And got to do all sorts of learning and growing in that sacred island of the gods.
I felt like it was from the initiation that I had received coming back in my body that helped me to be more aligned with all of the magic and the medicine of the dream time,
And so I think that that is part of what gives me the courage,
Is trusting in the people,
The places,
And the medicine that I'm receiving in the dream time,
And being bold enough to actualize it in the here and the now.
You have a work that you refer to as ceremonial energy medicine,
And you describe it as a blend of ritual,
Breath work,
Guided journeys,
Sound healing,
Yoga,
And community song.
It's a lot of different elements.
How did those things come together,
And what is the intention behind combining those elements?
It's like a smorgasbord,
A buffet,
And being open to all of these different elements allows me to help to customize and tailor an experience for an individual or for a group,
And I really love to be a clear channel,
And so for some people,
They're very much responding to being in the body.
It's more somatics or the yoga,
The physical body needs tending to.
For some,
It's with the breath work and being in a more expanded,
Expansive state of consciousness.
For some,
It's the singing and utilizing the frequency of sound.
Others,
It's dance.
It kind of reminds me of the saying that if you go to a medicine man or woman in the indigenous cultures,
And you have an ailment,
They will ask,
When did you stop singing?
When did you stop dancing?
And they get you doing these practices that help you to embody spirit in human form,
And so I think embodiment is a really big component of the smorgasbord of practices that I draw from,
And I'm weaving in medicine from the seen and the unseen realms with that and creating unique experiences,
And so no circle or session or offering is ever the exact same because it's a variety of things that I'm bringing forth so that I can be a channel for the divine to help others in their process.
Makes sense.
So when you are in your state of being a clear channel,
Do you have any predominant clairs of how you process the inputs that you're getting from the different realms?
I feel that it's with the permission of the people or person that I'm working with to get to share these different modalities,
And when they give their conscious permission is when I do feel like we're working together with the universe,
With their guides,
And with their own unique medicine,
So in a way what I'm guiding is a reflection of what their own constitution is,
Like what they need or what is going to help to bring forth the best version of themselves,
And so I love,
I guess part of why I have so many options of what it might be is that it leaves it this beautiful open canvas that together we get to paint and create.
So when you get this conscious permission from someone and you're being the channel for them in the experience,
When you get a sense of what to do next,
Because since you're combining all these different elements,
Do you feel something like in your body?
Is it that you see something,
Hear something,
Or does it just depend on the particular person or group?
I find it is related to the people I'm working with because I can see things,
I feel and I hear,
It's all of these sensories,
And I do feel like it depends on the person that I'm working with.
Yeah,
Oftentimes I can feel in my body energy or sensations that feel like stuck or stagnant,
And that's where I know to work on them from,
Or I see certain elements or experiences,
Or I see myself doing something,
So that's another way.
Or for example,
I recently had a woman in a ceremony and she said that she had lost her mother,
And she was praying and praying and praying for her mother's soul to come and hold her hand as a sign that her mother was still present,
And suddenly I got the message,
Go and put the blue lapis crystal heart in her hand.
And I was working with another person in a group healing,
And yet I paused and I went and I got it and I put it in her hand,
And she burst into tears,
And later in the integration shared about that yearning and longing and asking for a sign,
And she said,
How did you know to do that?
And I said,
Well,
It must have been your mother that asked me to come and put that crystal in your hand.
You know,
It's a divine weaving,
And so I think that that is what being a clear channel is,
And it's a mystery.
For me,
I don't always know exactly why,
Who,
Or how,
But I trust in the deliverance of the exact medicine coming just when it's needed the most.
Being that you're taking in all these inputs,
How do you manage your energy to keep yourself stable and centered to be able to effectively work with all these inputs?
I feel like my healthiest form of self-care is my boundaries.
When I finish a journey,
I step back,
And I will allow the individual or the group to have a shavasana,
Is that yogic word,
Where they come into a corpse pose,
They get to relax.
In a way,
It's allowing a sacred mini-death so they can have this rebirth.
Their nervous system gets to recalibrate as they soak in the session at that deep cellular level,
And while they're having that shavasana,
I really bring all of myself fully back in my being,
And I use this sacred visualization of,
It's like a knot at my dantien,
My power center,
And I will lovingly tie a knot and step back so that I'm not seeing,
Hearing,
Feeling,
Or doing anything on their behalf.
Oftentimes,
I'll also take a shower,
Change my clothes,
Walk on the earth.
I love water.
I'm a mermaid at heart,
So using water to help me to purify.
For those healers that work with people online,
And if I know it's a big session,
I often have my feet in a basin of salt water to help to pull out anything that I'm receiving.
In the healing spaces,
I often put bowls of salt water,
And I'm working with sacred tobacco and different crystals that are also helping,
Like malachite,
And they're helping to pull in and harness and anchor energy and especially what we're transmuting so that that doesn't get stuck in my field.
I'm working with the elementals when I'm opening up a sacred space,
And so throughout a session,
We're transmuting and alchemizing energy,
And so rather than thinking we're just taking something out and just taking it out of them,
And it's there in the universe,
Often in the healing arts,
I am helping them to transform energy and bring it back to its original essence.
That way,
It doesn't feel like my home,
My healing space,
My temple ever gets bogged down by too dense or heavy of energies because we are always helping it to flow and come back into harmony.
And I also love working with different forms of smudge,
And I'm working with feathers,
And energetic hygiene is really high on my self-care protocol.
Yeah,
Some women love to give themselves facials.
I'm always making sure that I don't have anybody else's bunk in my field.
So that was a big answer to your question,
But I really lovingly step back from that so that I'm not holding space when I'm not in a session.
You just released a new album,
Earth and Sky.
So my first album I created right when I got to Bali,
And it was a lot of the songs that came through during my children's nap times and songs that came through.
And then my next album,
I recorded there in Bali as well,
And it felt like a light year ahead of the first one.
And that second album is called Walk in Beauty.
And then recently with my beloved husband,
We've been together for 18 years,
We created Earth and Sky.
And these are a lot of prayers and healing songs that we're offering in our ceremonies.
And we have a beautiful cosmic cheerleader producer that supported us beautifully with bringing out our voice,
Medicine,
And weaving our frequencies.
So Earth and Sky is a portal into healing realms,
And it's a ceremony in itself.
And so if you do listen to it,

I highly recommend doing that with speakers or headphones and allowing yourself the arc of the journey.
We have that album,

Getting released next month with all of those songs being remixed into more dance versions.
So these prayers are going to be on the ecstatic dance floors around the world,
Which is very exciting.
So that's coming up,
And we really are honored to be sharing that medicine of the Earth and Sky.
That's right.
And that name is an archetype that came through during one of my biggest Kundalini risings.
It lasted for about five minutes.
And I could hear,
From all of the multitudes of the light beings that had been in that near-death experience,
They're all there shaking me.
And after I said,
You know,
It's more of a divine,
Feminine aspect of the shamanic work I love offering.
But then I googled it,
And I said,
There's something more to this.
And it turns out that Shamama is the mother of the Buddhas,
And there's a giant statue of Shamama in Afghanistan.
When people pray and ask for my support in spirit form,
They've often said that I'm giant when I come to help them.
And so I liken the Shamama archetype to a really beautiful medicine.
So if people need my help and support,
Instead of calling on Lindsay,
I invite them to call on that Shamama archetype or my Oversoul,
The Anakosha,
As well,
So that that's who is working in dream time.

As our time with Lindsay Wise unfolds,

So I know we are going to just have a snippet here,
And I'll give you a little snippet of what comes through.
And just invite you to lean back or lay down.
If you're driving,
Don't close your eyes.
But if you're not,
Close your eyes.
And you can bring a hand to your heart and a hand to your belly,
Your womb,
Your heart.
And just connect in with your breath in the here and the now.
Welcoming the sensation of your heart beating against your fingertips,
Feeling your heartbeat,
Feeling the breath moving through you and allowing your breath to get deeper,
Higher,
And as fully expansive as possible as you breathe into all parts of your being.
Begin to feel your roots anchoring and grounding into the core of the earth below you as you simply take a big,
Deep breath and exhale and relax all your everything into our mother earth holding you,
Feeling that cord of gravity as a reassurance that you are abundant,
Provided for and here.
And then feeling from your crown a connection up into the celestial,
Into the sky realms of Pachacamac,
Father Sky.
And as you're connecting there,
You might even feel the sensation of your North Star,
Which is so close you could reach up and touch it.
And the North Star is reminding you of the unseen realms of your ancestors,
The star nations,
Reminding you that you're always being guided.
Even if it doesn't feel like it,
You're always in the right place at the right time.
And then as you breathe into your heart,
I invite you to breathe into your heart and intention for this moment,
This moment of the spring equinox,
When we have the gift of allowing a death and a rebirth.
When we go from the darkness and into the light and the wheel turns,
This is the most potent time for you to hold a visualization of what you are calling in and what you are calling out.
And as you breathe into your heart,
For you to hold a visualization of what you are calling in for your life right here and right now.
You're invited to visualize the most glorious aspect of your nature with infinite possibility of who you've been,
Who you are,
And all that you're yet to be.
Take some long,
Deep breaths here into your heart as you hold that vision,
Promising a sensation of patience to your soul in the sacred becoming that is the medicine of this life.
And you might be feeling some energy that could feel stuck or dense,
Stagnant.
Energy that is even ready to die,
To become compost,
Mulch,
And to be reborn into the seeds that have been germinating.
And so for the next couple of minutes,
As you hear the sound of the medicine drum,
I invite you to connect into the elemental frequencies.
The powerful forces of nature that you are one with.
The earth as your body,
Water,
Your blood,
The air,
Your breath,
The fire,
Your spirit,
And the ether,
The spaciousness,
The stardust that is in your bones.
All of these elemental frequencies are on your team.
They're your cosmic cheerleaders,
One with you,
And they want to help you.
And so we're acknowledging these elemental frequencies and portals to come and move to come and move through you for the next couple of minutes.
As you take some big,
Deep breaths in through the nose,
And as you exhale through your mouth,
Give a big sigh of relief.
Inhalation helps you to receive all of the light,
All of the spaciousness,
And the exhalation helps you to surrender and let go,
To give back.
Rather than thinking of good or bad,
It just is.
And yet you have the power with every breath to inhale what you need,
And to exhale what is no longer serving.
And so continue with your breath,
And choose an element.
If it's the fire,
Feel into the sun.
If it's the water,
Feel into the rivers and the oceans.
If it's the air,
Tap into the power of your breath.
If it's the earth,
Feel into all of the earth allies,
Your crystals,
Your animal friends that are supporting you.
If it's the whole enchilada,
Blessed be.
Let's breathe for a couple of minutes as you feel into the inhalation of new life and the exhalation of letting go.
Take a few more big breaths,
Inhaling,
Fully receiving,
Exhaling to let go.
And then beginning to feel in your being where the element of your soul song lives,
Your soul song that is your birthright.
Feel into your being from this space of a deeper expansion.
And just allow yourself to notice where you can feel an element of your own soul song.
For some of you,
It might feel,
Rather than where you're feeling it the most expansive,
It might feel more like where there could be a blockage and that's actually still a doorway that's into the expansion.
So notice where in your body a connection to that soul song is and begin to feel what that energy sensation feels like so that you might notice a color associated with your song.
Perhaps a pattern,
A sound,
Maybe even emotional qualities.
And you get to just connect in with this part of your being.
With this part of your being and ask if your soul song is willing and able to evolve and grow with you.
And just with your simple breath and presence,
If you feel like your soul song isn't in its full alignment,
Just simply ask what it needs to come back into harmony.
Let your soul song and this energy within you show you what kind of practice is,
Practices,
What in your lifestyle you can put more energy into to remember this natural way of being to be able to express yourself freely.
And here,
In this moment,
Set an intention to focus your energy there toward whatever it is that this energy is calling for.
And if your hands have moved,
Bring one back to your heart and one to your belly.
As you just come into a simple prayer of gratitude.
Thanking your being that you cannot only speak,
But you can sing.
You cannot only walk,
But you can dance.
Consider this your invitation to come home to your true nature.
As you again feel the beat of your heart beneath your fingertips.
The rise and fall of your breath.
Giving thanks for all of the support in the seen and unseen realms.
Giving thanks for the medicine that you are.
Giving thanks for the healing that you are.
Giving thanks for the medicine that you are.
And you're going to take three deep hums right into your heart to seal in this practice.
So everyone exhale,
Let out all of your breath.
Let it out.
And then gently inhale deeply in through your nose.
And as you exhale,
Simply hum into your heart.
