Right now you're worried,

Worried that your situation won't work out,

That the thing you've been praying to happen just won't,

Or that it won't in the time you need it to,

Or it won't the way you want it to.

Pause for just a moment and breathe.

Let those thoughts of what won't happen leave your mind.

Stop that cycle of it won't work.

And now remind yourself of the last time,

The last answered prayer,

The last opened door,

The last mountain moved,

The last challenge overcome,

The last hallelujah thank you Jesus.

What's changed?

Maybe you have,

Maybe your situation,

Possibly the hour,

Maybe the day,

Even the month.

It's not the same year,

But God,

He's still the same.

He hasn't changed and he won't.

You can change,

The people around you might,

But God,

He won't.

He's the same miracle-working God.

He's the same provider,

Comforter,

Healer.

He's the God who sees you.

He's the God who hears you.

He's the God who opens doors men can't,

And he shuts the doors that need to be closed.

So as soon as those doubtful thoughts return,

Whisper these words,

God's got me.

Now breathe.

Breathe with ease,

With comfort,

With peace.

Go knowing that God's got you.
