Find your breath.
As it leaves your body.
And listen to the quiet around you.
Follow that breath.
In and out.
Until your body eases.
When's the last time you visited the ocean?
Or maybe you've never been.
But you know the sight of the waves.
As they build and crash against the sand.
They flow in.
And out.
They slowly build up,
Then they crash back down.
The waves can carry a sea creature.
A person,
Or even a massive ship.
Just like the waves that move to and fro,
So does your breath.
Along with each build and crash,
Your breath can carry a multitude of things.
You're hurt.
Your pain.
Your anxiety or fears.
Your joy,
Your gladness,
Your gratitude.
Imagine the waves building.
And as you do,
Take a deep breath in.
Continue to allow that breath to build.
As you consider the things you'd like to wash out to see.
As you release your breath,
Imagine those things that hurt,
Pain,
Anxiety,
Or fears have drifted away with the waves.
Again,
This time you want to bring in joy,
Gladness and gratitude as you take in a deep breath.
As you continue breathing,
Imagine the wave is coming toward the sand.
And along with it,
It's bringing in everything you need.
Continue breathing.
Out with the things that don't serve you in with the things you need in and out.
Waves building and crashing.
And in the end,
As the sea settles,
You're left with everything you need.
