Nobody get through this life without tears, pain and disappontment of some kind. When the situation is over we've got a story - and we tell it - sometimes over and over to anyone who'll listen (or pretend to be listening). Perhaps in the telling we're looking for affirmation that it wasn't our fault. Of course, there's the question, "Why did this happen to me?" There are two ways to tell the same story. The popular one is the victim's "Woe is me" version. There's another choice. Listen and see.

Divine Beloveds,

You've got a story.

We all have one,

You know.

Those times when life was really tragic,

Someone did you dirty,

Or you made a series of wrong decisions that you wish you hadn't,

That really hurt your life.

We've all been there.

Everyone's got a story.

But listen to me,

Divine Beloved.

You can tell your story the way it happened from the hurtful perspective.

And your hurt is real.

But there's another side to your story.

Tell the empowered story.

Tell it from the side of victory.

Tell it how it made you stronger.

Tell that story from the perspective of how it opened your eyes.

And you came out better,

Wiser,

Stronger.

And that you'll never make that mistake again.

Tell the empowered story.

You did not deserve what happened to you.

You didn't deserve the pain.

It wasn't fair.

But Divine Beloved,

We know this.

No one gets through this life without pain.

Whether you bought it on yourself,

Or it came on you in some unfair way,

It really doesn't matter.

The only thing that matters is that we get up,

Get over it,

And start the new life that we're given each day.

Each day is a new opportunity to make a new decision,

A new decision that will change our lives.

A new decision,

Empowered by the next divine right step.

That's the only thing that matters.
