My name is Kat and I will guide you through this short self-love meditation.
To begin,
Find a comfortable seat.
Feel your body connect with the earth beneath you.
Allow the palms to sit open on the thighs.
Gravity gently pulling at the center of the palm.
Fingers relaxed.
Allow for the spine to lengthen and the crown to reach towards the sky.
Visualizing length in between each vertebra as you fully arrive in this moment.
As you release anything you've brought with you to this moment to your seat and arrive wholly in the present,
In this breath,
In this moment right now.
Now begin to bring your attention to the heart space.
Begin to notice the sensation of the heart.
The gentle heartbeat.
And then becoming aware of the space around the heart.
Becoming aware of the sensation that makes up the field surrounding your heart space.
As you rest your awareness at the heart,
Imagine you could breathe in and out through your heart space.
Every inhale,
Observing the field surrounding your heart expand in infinite direction.
And every exhale,
Noticing it contract back to the center point.
With every breath,
Building momentum,
Reaching a little bit further.
With every expansion in infinite directions.
And every coming back to the center point,
Creating more power.
Amplifying the power of this energy center with your breath.
Watch the field expand,
Feel the field expand of your heart around your heart.
Perhaps you tune into a color that reveals itself to you in this field.
A color that represents your heart space.
A color that represents giving and receiving love.
Now,
I want you to place both hands onto your heart.
And draw your awareness back to your third eye,
The space in between your eyebrows.
And call upon an image of you as a child.
When the image you've conjured up is clear,
Look into the eyes of your inner child.
Notice how they sparkle,
The purity,
The innocence behind those eyes.
The eyes that are so clearly deserving of everything this world has to offer.
So clearly worthy of everything they desire.
As you lower down to one knee now,
To be at the same eye level as your inner child.
Perhaps you reach out to hug them.
And as you wrap your arms around them,
Hold them close to your body,
Heart to heart.
Whisper to your inner child,
I love you.
You are perfect.
It will always protect you.
You have always been worthy of everything you desire,
My love.
And as your inner child embraces you back,
Heart to heart,
Listen to what they have to say to you.
Make yourself available to them.
To receive whatever it is they have to say to you.
Whatever wisdom they need to deliver to you in this moment,
Make yourself available to receive.
And as you gently begin to loosen your embrace,
Returning eye to eye,
If there's any final words you need to say to your inner child,
Do so now.
And as you begin to stand back up from this encounter,
Allowing your inner child to drift back into your field.
Returning to the sensation of the palms on your chest,
Over your heart.
Knowing that you can call upon the inner child that lives within you at any moment to remind them they are safe,
They are loved,
They will always be taken care of.
Draw a deep breath in through the nose.
Open the mouth,
Let it out.
Deep breath in.
Let it out.
Drawing palms together at heart center.
Drawing thumbs to third eye.
And bowing in to bring this practice to a close.
