The perception can be easily distorted by thoughts and illusions, such a perception only leads to self-deception, which makes one not be able to honest with oneself. If one cannot be really honest with oneself, there is no possibility to see things as it is, to accept oneself as it is; the self one thinks about is merely some images, which has nothing to do with who one is actually. To mediate is to restore the proper perception from thoughts.

Meditation is a marvelous thing.

To meditate is to be extremely honest with ourselves.

To see ourselves as who we are actually.

It can be a challenge for many people.

Because for them,

The lifestyle is full of all kinds of escapes.

All kinds of entertainment.

All kinds of things to absorb the me,

The self.

To move the attention away from seeing who we really are.

But the problem is,

The more we try to escape from the actuality,

The more issues will pop up.

We tend to use ideas,

Expressions,

Verbs to interpret who we are.

But who we really are is beyond the verbs,

Beyond any expressions.

We can only know who we really are by direct perception.

And this perception must be free from the distortion of thoughts,

Illusions.

So to meditate is to empty the mind,

Empty the thoughts,

Empty the consciousness.

So our perception about life is restored.

And only in that perception we can see who we really are.

And only in that perception we can be really honest with ourselves.

To have that proper perception is to meditate.

To have that proper perception is the real meaning of meditation.
