This soft-spoken reflection offers a liberating insight from the 3 Principles understanding. The truth is that overthinking doesn’t need to be controlled, solved, or fixed. When you see it for what it is, the pressure melts away.

Here's a few minutes to reconnect with truth from a three principles perspective.

Today we're talking about overthinking,

Which can really look like a problem that we need to solve.

Maybe you've noticed that the more you try to solve that so-called problem,

The busier the mind becomes.

The thing is,

There's an illusion here that's helpful to see through.

The illusion that overthinking is some kind of problem.

A problem that it really looks like we need to solve.

Have you noticed your mind's habit of ironically making itself wrong?

It's like there's a part of us,

I like to call it the inner critic,

That is permanently looking for problems where there are in fact none.

The truth about overthinking is that it's not a sign there's something wrong with you.

It's not a sign you're broken.

It's just that in this moment,

You're caught up in thought.

And you're probably believing that that means something about you.

It means something's wrong with you.

And it doesn't take long,

Does it,

For that spiral to get a little bit out of control.

But you don't actually have to control it.

Which is a big relief,

Isn't it?

The thing is,

You're like the sky,

Blue,

Clear,

Holding the beautiful light of the sun.

And your thoughts,

No matter how whirly and loud and dark they become,

Are clouds floating across that sky.

And as you settle into that knowing that you are the awareness,

Not the clouds,

Something begins to shift.

There's an invitation here to rest into that space of sky,

That unshakable peace of your being.

What's underneath the clouds?

What's temporarily hidden by them?

And to trust.

To trust that despite the fact that you might feel stuck in overthinking right now,

That it always passes.

Have you noticed it's passed before and it will again?

And maybe it's helpful to just put down that need for you to do anything about it.

You're not broken.

Your thinking does not need to be controlled or solved or fixed.

You are peace,

Love and wisdom.

And I think that's perhaps the most important thing to know.

Take care and much love.
