The moon is up,

The stars are bright,

It's time to rest and say goodnight.

Your toys are sleeping,

Snug in place,

They'll be ready for a morning race.

Your blanket hugs you,

Nice and warm,

It keeps you safe through every storm.

Your pillow waits to hold your head and carry you to dreamland's bed.

The day is over,

Now it's done,

You played,

You laughed,

You had some fun.

Close your eyes and rest a while,

The morning soon will bring a smile.

Dream of friends both near and far,

Or flying high above a star.

Dream of oceans,

Hills and trees,

And gentle winds that sway with ease.

The house is quiet,

All is still,

The night is calm,

The world is nil.

Take a deep breath,

Let worries go,

Sleep will come,

Soft and slow.

Goodnight dear one,

Sleep tight and deep,

The sun will rise,

No need to peep.

When morning comes,

The world will say,

Hello,

It's time to start the day.
