Are you ready to meditate with Kari?
Get all snuggly and comfortable in your bed.
It's time to relax your body and let go of your busy day.
Veya was not good,
Poor Veya.
She was very,
Very sick.
She'd had the suds,
Or the cold,
For over a week now.
She was just limp and drained and sleepy.
Me doesn't feel very good at all,
She kept saying to her sisters.
Cherry and Heidi were running out of ideas to cheer her up.
Day after day it was the same thing.
All she wanted to do was just snuggle on the couch with a big fuzzy soft blanket,
A box of tissues,
A nice hot cup of cocoa or a cup of tea,
And watch something nice on telly.
That's all I want,
Veya kept saying.
And that's okay when you're sick.
It's nice to have your snuggly blanket and be taken care of,
But sooner or later you have to get up and get better.
Cherry and Heidi were just a little bit worried.
Cherry said to Heidi in the kitchen,
It's been ages,
It's been absolutely ages that she's been like this and I'm a little bit concerned.
Heidi said,
It's only been a week,
Cherry.
Is that normal though?
I mean,
Really if you think about it,
When you have a snotty nose or something,
It's only normally a couple of days into it,
But she's just been so tired and so depressed and so drained and so sad,
I'm like feeling so sorry for her.
I think we should try and do something really extra,
Extra,
Extra fun and special today.
I was thinking,
I was thinking we could invite some of her friends over.
We could invite Hadley over and we could invite Ellery over and we could invite Lona and Laura and I was thinking Ada,
Ada would be good too.
She likes all those guys.
She loves those friends and I do too.
I mean,
They're awesome.
So what do you think?
Do you think we should call them and invite them over because I have an idea of what we can do when they get here and I really need the help because me and you can't do it on our own.
Heidi thought it was a really good idea.
Heidi got on the phone and Cherry got on the phone.
Cherry called Laura and Lona.
She called Ada,
Ellery and Hadley.
They all came over to the rescue.
They brought grapes and fruit and orange juice,
Anything that they could think of that was high in vitamin C that's good for you when you have a cold.
You need to build your immune system and vitamin C always helps.
Vea was super happy to see them.
She didn't hug them.
She said,
Please don't get too close.
Stay on the other side of the room and that way when I sneeze and cough and snot everywhere then you won't get infected hopefully.
The kids thought that it might be quite hard to get a cat cough or a cat cold anyway but they did what Vea wanted them to do and they stayed over the other side of the room.
Cherry said,
Come on kids,
Come in the kitchen,
I've got a plan.
This perked up a little bit of interest in Vea but she didn't move very much and she carried on watching the telly.
Heidi and Cherry filled in the kids on what they wanted to do for Vea.
I've had this idea,
Said Cherry.
Fashion show,
Princess fashion show,
Not a normal fashion show even though Vea would probably like that a lot.
No,
Princess fashion show.
What I thought we could do is pretend that we were in like Milan or somewhere like really fancy,
New York or London and we could be like,
We'll make a runway down the living room towards the sofa and then each one of you guys can try on some of Vea's princess clothes but you know,
I thought what we would do is somehow change the clothes so they look a little bit different because Vea would probably wear them in a certain way but we can add accessories,
We can add hats and different things that would make them look different and I was thinking,
Hadley,
If you don't mind,
You could be like all her prince clothes or you can wear the princess clothes as well if you want but you know,
I thought you could be like,
You know,
Every good fashion show has boys and girls,
Don't it?
You could be like all the boy representations or whatever.
Yeah,
I thought that would be really nice and then us lot,
Us girly girls,
We can just dress up as different like crazy princesses or something.
The kids thought it was a really good idea.
They went through all of Vea's clothes in their bedroom,
Pulled out about 10 different outfits,
Mixed and matched,
Skirts with tops,
Dresses with other dresses on top of them,
Hats with different hats mixed in and scarves wrapped around the hats just to make them look different,
To make them look fresh,
To make them look like something new that Vea had not seen before.
Heidi told everyone that this is probably their best plan so far because they've been a little bit worried about Vea.
She's been really down in the dumps.
The kids all agreed that it's very hard when you have a cold or you don't feel very well.
You get kind of miserable really easy,
Cherry said.
You know,
I think if you're sick,
You don't have to necessarily get miserable,
Heidi said.
Well,
When was the last time you were sick,
Cherry?
Cherry said,
Not too long ago,
I don't think,
And yeah,
Yeah,
I didn't feel very good at all.
It was awful,
Heidi said.
Exactly.
That's our point,
Cherry.
When you don't feel very good,
Then the last thing you want to do is be happy and chipper and fun and all those things.
You just want to get better.
Cherry said,
Oh,
Yeah,
Yeah,
I get it.
I get it.
I understand.
Yeah,
I know what you mean.
But,
You know,
At the same time,
I don't really.
But yeah,
I do.
Because,
You know,
Mine was different.
When I was sick,
I was so sick.
I mean,
Vea's sick,
But,
You know,
Maybe not as sick as me.
Heidi said,
No,
I think she's sick.
She's pretty sick.
Maybe sicker than you were and you didn't feel good at all and you weren't very happy.
Cherry said,
Oh,
Wow,
Do you think so?
Heidi said,
Yep,
I think so.
Cherry said,
Oh,
OK,
Then.
Well,
I best be a little bit more compassionate and I could practice being empathetical.
Because,
You know,
You know how I feel everything.
I do.
I do.
I do.
I feel all you kids right now.
Hadley.
Yeah,
I can feel you.
Ellery.
Yeah,
Yeah,
I can feel you so much.
Laura.
Lorna,
My little Lorna.
Yeah,
I can feel you.
Ada.
Ada,
I know how you feel.
I can feel you.
Yeah,
I can feel.
Yeah,
Yeah,
I think I am very empathic.
I think,
I think,
I think,
I think that I can feel all the world sometimes.
And then I just don't know what to do with it.
Do you guys ever feel like that?
Do you like go in a room and you can feel everyone and you're like,
Oh,
My goodness,
I'm so sensitive.
I can feel so many people right now.
Feel a little bit overwhelmed or a little bit overloaded.
But then I don't,
You know,
Because I'm really good at that.
I handle it really well and I go,
Oh,
I can feel all these people.
Or if we go to the zoo,
I'm like,
Oh,
I can feel all these animals.
And then I said to myself,
You know what,
Cherry?
You're so powerful.
You're so powerful that people can't drain you.
Animals can't drain you.
Nothing can change your energy because you're just a powerhouse.
You're a power source.
And I think it's a bit of a fallacy that if you're empathic,
That you get,
Like,
Attacked by everybody else's feelings and emotions.
You know,
What's it called,
Ella?
Heidi,
Heidi,
What's it called now when people,
Like,
Suck off you and stuff?
What is it?
What is it?
I think Corey talked about it one time in a meditation.
Heidi said,
Are you talking about,
Like,
Energy vampires?
Yeah,
Yeah,
Apparently.
Like,
You know,
People,
People can,
Certain kinds of people,
If you're very sensitive to it,
You can tell when they're,
Like,
Draining you.
You know,
Like,
You could be in a really good mood and then you go over to a friend's house and she's just so draining.
And all she does is moan and moan and moan.
Or maybe all she does is gossip and gossip and gossip.
Or all he does is gossip.
And you're like,
Gosh,
You're so gossipy.
And then by the time you go home,
You just feel so drained and depressed.
And like,
Oh,
I'm so uncomfortable right now.
Like when you've had too much to eat and you have to wear your comfortable pants.
Same feeling.
Yeah,
And I was like,
Oh,
I understand it.
But it doesn't happen to me because I think I'm above it.
I think I'm above all of that vampiring energy.
You know why?
Because I'm a powerhouse.
And everyone should know that about themselves.
Everyone should believe that they're a powerhouse.
I think Corrie should make a meditation where it says,
All you empaths,
Don't you fret.
You're a powerhouse.
Powerhouse.
You should make some kind of song over it.
Because,
You know,
Just because you're empathic and you can feel people,
That doesn't mean you have to be affected by them,
Right?
Because you can just go.
Like Spider Woman.
No,
No,
No.
Wonder Woman.
Like Wonder Woman,
Like with a shield.
Like that.
Negative energy.
Here you go.
Take that.
You,
You over there with the draining personality.
You take that.
You over there.
That's really,
Really like depressed and bringing everyone down.
You take that.
See,
That's all I need to do.
Because I'm like a powerhouse.
I'm my own lighthouse.
Oh,
I should use that in a book or something.
I'm a lighthouse.
Ellery.
Hadley.
Laura.
Lorna.
Ada.
Believe in Cherry.
Trust me when I say,
You're a powerhouse.
You are your own lighthouse and no one can bring you down.
Heidi said,
Actually,
Cherry,
That's a really good way of looking at being an empath.
But at the same time,
The idea is,
If you feel that someone is not in a good place,
If you feel that someone's not very happy,
If it is in your powerhouse to help that person,
Then maybe it's a good idea to help them or to try and cheer them up.
But you're right.
No one can affect your energy unless you let them.
So yes,
That's a very good point.
And I really like the song as well.
Thanks,
Said Cherry.
I'm such a good singer.
But yeah,
Anyway,
Right,
Guys,
Are we all ready with his plans?
Are we all ready with his outfits?
Because I think I should choreograph because I'm really good at that stuff.
And then I'm going to be like,
You know,
All right,
Go.
And then maybe I'll sing rather than have music.
Yeah,
I think I'll just sing in the background while you guys walk out onto the catwalk and do your show.
First of all,
I need to go in the living room and I need to introduce our idea.
Cherry went in the living room.
She stood in front of Vea and said,
Attention,
Sicky pants,
Attention.
It's time for you to cheer up and get some energy into you.
And we have come all the way from Milan to bring you this show,
This wonderful show.
It's a princess fashion show just for Vea.
Round of applause,
Please.
Vea clapped her two front paws together.
Oh,
This is so nice.
So nice.
Thank you so much.
She croaked a little bit at the end.
One by one,
The kids came in in their fancy princess outfits or fancy prince outfits,
Depending on what they were wearing.
Vea absolutely loved it.
It really did lift her spirits and cheer her up.
Heidi and Cherry even had outfits on and they all stood in a line in front of her.
Heidi said,
OK,
Which outfit do you think you like the best?
Vea scrutinized every outfit very carefully.
She was still laid on the couch,
Still not feeling the best,
But she looked like she had a little bit of flush in her cheeks,
A little bit more color in her face.
I would have to say I like Ada's outfit the best.
So nice.
So,
So,
So unusual.
Ada bowed and then everybody gave everybody else a round of applause and then they all sat down on the ground,
Started to talk about different things around Vea.
Vea had a nice,
Warm glow in her heart.
She felt very loved and appreciated.
It's very nice of them to do that for her.
She closed her eyes and felt full of gratitude for her friends and her sisters.
It wasn't too long before she fell off to sleep.
Eventually,
Cherry noticed that Vea had fell to sleep and she ushered everyone into the kitchen,
Where she made popcorn and lemonade.
They all chatted some more over their snacks and then eventually it was time for Ada and Lona and Laura,
Ellery and Hadley to go home.
Heidi and Cherry went snuggled with Vea on the couch.
Closed their eyes and let go of their busy day.
They relaxed all their muscles.
Their tails relaxed.
Their eyelashes even relaxed.
And eventually they fell fast asleep,
Just like poorly Vea.
The end.
