Are you ready to meditate with Cori?
Climb up into your bed and get super,
Super comfortable.
Make sure that everything is just right in your room.
The lights are just right.
You're wearing your cosy,
Comfy pyjamas.
And all is well in the world.
So that you can relax your body and let go of your busy,
Busy day.
Stephanie was home late from school.
She was rushing around all over the place.
By the time she got home,
She was too late to do her online session that she was going to do with her therapist.
Stephanie had recently found a therapist.
She loved her so much.
She talked to her once a week and she just talked about life.
She talked about her parents,
Her troubles,
Her worries.
She talked about anything that she needed to talk about that made her feel stronger and happier and more confident within herself.
Stephanie had come to the conclusion that there wasn't anything wrong with therapists and you didn't have to be in a really bad place to have a therapist.
It was actually just really helpful to talk to somebody.
But unfortunately,
She was late and she had to cancel her session.
She decided to go upstairs and get ready to go visit Moonbow Forest.
She walked into her bedroom,
Kicked off her socks and her shoes.
She put on her comfiest sweats and a sweatshirt,
Sat down at her dressing table and opened her jewelry box.
She rummaged around in there until she found her golden magical earrings.
She put the left one on first and felt a very strong tingle down her back.
Something was very powerful today.
She could feel it.
Then she put the right earring on and her whole body started to tingle.
She had these yummy,
Nice,
Pleasurable sensations up and down her spine and then her nose started to itch and twitch.
And before she knew it,
She automatically closed her eyes and in her mind's eye she could see the veil there in front of her face.
The curtain that separated her from this world and the world of Moonbow Forest.
The curtain twinkled.
She could see through it barely.
She saw shapes and shadows on the other side of the veil.
Took a big deep breath and decided it was time to go through.
With her right hand,
She reached up and moved the curtain over to one side and stepped inside of Moonbow Forest,
The other world that had come to be just like another home for her.
The first thing she felt was the grass underneath her feet.
It felt warm and spongy.
Soft but also a little bit prickly at the same time.
She scrunched her toes and grabbed ahold of the grass with her toes and moved her feet around so she could get a really good feeling,
A really good connection to the grass,
To the earth of Moonbow Forest.
She loved this place so much.
And then she slowly opened her eyes and found herself in the most beautiful place.
It wasn't her normal forest.
It was a field of giant,
Giant,
I mean as big as houses,
Tall flowers.
And there she was,
This tiny little thing.
She looked like Alice in Wonderland,
As if she'd shrunken to a tiny little person because she had to really,
Really crick her neck back to look up to see this forest of big,
Glorious,
Beautiful,
Bright,
Bright flowers.
And the smell,
Oh my goodness,
The smell was breathtaking.
There were so many different pretty scents hitting her nose.
She could smell roses,
She could smell violets,
She could smell lavender,
She could smell bluebells,
She could smell so many different flowers.
There were daisies,
There were daffodils,
There were sunflowers,
There were pansies,
There were snowdrops.
It was the most beautiful scene because all the different flowers were different colours and it was like she was standing under a flower of rainbows.
But why was she here?
And she felt so small.
Had she shrunk?
Was this a normal field of flowers and she just had shrunk?
She looked around on the ground.
The grass looked normal.
She wasn't standing on some crazy giant blade of grass or anything.
The grass was appropriately sized to the size of her feet,
As if she was normal if she looked at the grass.
She looked around and there wasn't anything else.
There wasn't any landmarks,
No buildings,
There wasn't any insects,
Anything that she could judge her size off.
Just these giant flowers,
Like she was in a forest of trees,
But instead of trees,
They were flowers.
And they were beautiful.
And they smelt delicious.
They smelt good enough to eat.
At that point,
She wondered if she could eat them.
I wonder what a rose tastes like.
I wonder what a bluebell tastes like.
I wonder what a rose tastes like.
Then she thought,
Maybe I have to climb one of these flowers,
You know,
Like Jack and the Beanstalk.
Maybe that's what happens.
But then something over on the right caught her eye.
She moved all of her awareness to what it was and noticed some kind of butterfly.
A moth that was flying her way.
The closer it got,
The more she realized it was a moth.
She knew it was a moth because it was just very bland and almost grey,
Greyish brown looking.
And the shape of its head was different.
The moth got closer and closer and closer.
And then it hovered in front of her.
It was a regular sized moth,
Which again told her she must be her normal size.
The moth wasn't ginormous like the flowers.
The moth said,
Welcome to Moonbow Forest,
Stephanie.
This is the field of giant flowers.
Apparently,
This is exactly what you needed.
Somehow,
Without her realizing,
Moonbow Forest always supplied what Stephanie needed.
But today,
Stephanie had no clue what she needed.
She didn't even know what kind of mood she was in.
All she knew was that she'd been rushing about all over the place.
She was a little bit stressed and she'd missed her therapy.
So what did Moonbow Forest know that she didn't know?
She looked at the moth and said,
Hi,
Do you know why I'm here?
And the moth said,
Like me,
You're here so that you can learn to fly towards the light.
Stephanie thought,
Fly?
How am I supposed to fly?
The moth looked at Stephanie as if to say he just read her thoughts.
And then he said,
Look at the necklace that you're wearing.
Stephanie looked down and noticed that she was wearing a necklace that had a butterfly on it.
Her best friend,
Sam,
Had bought it her.
It was pink and purple and it had really pretty wings.
Stephanie had forgot that she was wearing it.
The moth said,
Like butterflies,
Like moths,
It's all about change.
It's all about transformation,
Stephanie.
And today you're here to transform into something bigger,
Something brighter,
Something more wonderful than what you were before.
The next phase of Stephanie.
More confident,
More clear,
More self-aware.
The therapy's been helping,
Stephanie,
Said the moth.
But now it's time to see how much you can fly in a situation that you weren't ready for.
And this is it.
But the fun thing is,
Each one of these flowers you can eat.
Stephanie's tummy rumbled just as the moth said that.
I knew it,
She said out loud.
I knew you could eat these flowers.
Oh,
Yes,
You can.
You can nibble on them as much as you want.
And they're so big and bright and glorious that they never fade away.
Lots of beings and animals and creatures here in Moonbow Forest come here for snacks because they're the most delicious,
Delightful,
Most aromatic snack you could possibly eat.
I mean,
Look at them.
Once again,
Stephanie crooked her neck and looked up and saw the glorious daffodil and the beautiful,
Big,
Bright sunflower.
She wondered what the center of the sunflower tasted like and if she could only fly.
OK,
I see my necklace.
I see that I'm supposed to fly.
I see that I can eat whatever I want when I get up there.
But how do I get up there?
The moth said,
Well,
That's why I'm here.
Moths fly to the light.
We're attracted to the light.
It's metaphorical,
You know,
The light basically represents source,
Love,
God.
All that is.
Us moths seek the light.
And like you,
You have a light inside.
But to make yourself be able to fly,
You have to close your eyes and make that light grow.
It's there in the center of your chest.
Everyone has it,
Stephanie.
Every single boy,
Every single girl,
Every single man,
Every single woman,
Every single dog,
Every single cat,
Everything that lives,
That breathes has a light in the middle of their chest.
That light is the part of you that is the part of God,
Part of source,
Your creation.
You can make it grow.
And when you make it grow,
You get lighter and lighter.
And as you get lighter and lighter,
Your wings will form.
They may be invisible to the eye,
But you'll be just like me.
You'll be able to fly.
Stephanie looked down at the ground and thought about her internal light.
And then she closed her eyes and saw the light in her chest.
She imagined that there was a light there.
A lone light bulb shining right there in the middle of her ribs,
Right next to her heart.
The light is in your heart center,
Said the moth,
Meaning it was right there in the middle of her chest.
And she'd already found it.
She said,
I know I can see it.
I can see it in my mind.
The moth said,
Good.
Now,
Keep your eyes closed and make the light grow.
Bring your breath into the middle of your chest.
Breathe into that space.
And as you breathe in,
Imagine that you're stoking the fire.
You're making the light grow bigger and bigger and bigger every time you breathe in.
Stephanie did just that.
Breath after breath,
She focused so hard and the light started to grow.
It's growing,
She said.
The moth said,
Yes,
I know.
I can see it.
Keep going.
Stephanie kept breathing and the light kept growing.
It got bigger and bigger and bigger.
And the bigger it got,
The lighter she felt,
As if she was filling with carbonated bubbles or something.
She kept breathing and getting bigger.
The light went all the way down her arms to her fingertips.
It went all the way down her legs to her toes.
It went in her head.
It went everywhere.
She felt like she was just full of this beaming bright light.
The moth said,
You could open your eyes now.
And when Stephanie opened her eyes and she looked at the moth,
It was a lot brighter around her.
So much more brighter.
But she didn't know where to look first.
And then she looked down and noticed all of the flowers below.
Stephanie was up in the sky above all of the field of flowers.
It was so pretty.
She couldn't look away.
The blues,
The bright yellows,
The pinks,
The reds,
The purples.
So many flowers.
So many beautiful smells.
And it was so much stronger up there than it was down below.
The moth said,
Where are you going to start?
Which one are you going to try first?
Stephanie said,
Definitely the sunflower.
She closed her eyes and imagined that she was flying down to the sunflower and biting on one of its petals.
It tasted like honey.
It tasted like golden orange blossom honey.
So sweet and fragrant.
And then she flew to the center of the sunflower and tasted it.
It tasted just like a brown sugar smoothie.
Oh,
It was all caramelly and rich and dark.
It was delicious.
She got excited at that point.
She flew over to the daffodil,
Tasted the daffodil.
The daffodil tasted like orange popsicles for some reason to her.
You know,
The ones with the ice cream in the middle.
Then she flew over to the bluebells.
The bluebells tasted like raspberry slurpees from the movies.
OMG,
They were so good.
She tasted the snowdrops.
They tasted just like fresh white chocolate peppermint milkshake or something.
Oh my goodness,
Everything was absolutely breathtakingly delicious.
She was flying all over,
Just like bees do,
Collecting pollen from flowers.
But she was eating little tiny bits off each one of them.
And you could barely notice that she tasted any of them because they were so ginormous.
She tasted the roses,
Which tasted like roses.
She tasted some green flower that she'd never seen before and that tasted just like matcha.
She wasn't really into that one.
She tasted the pansies.
They actually tasted just like,
You know,
Those square sugar cubes that you can get that taste just like sugar?
The pansies tasted just like sugar.
And also,
They made her giggle at the same time.
The pansies had such happy faces.
They were like sweet,
Giggly flavour,
Whatever that is like.
The moth followed her everywhere she went,
Just to make sure that she was still focusing on the light.
And then he told her to see in her mind that she was falling very slowly and gently down back to the ground.
Stephanie did just that.
She imagined that she was floating on her back in the middle of a pool somewhere nice and warm and tropical.
And she swayed slightly from left to right and it was so relaxing.
It was like someone was holding her all the way down.
And then her little feet landed on the ground and she felt the grass underneath her feet once again.
She opened her eyes and the moth was gone.
And she looked down at the floor and realised that the grass was not the grass,
It was her plush,
Fluffy carpet in her bedroom.
She stood there in her sweats and a comfy sweatshirt and thought how much she loved Moonbow Forest.
And it always knew exactly what to bring to her.
She knew she was special.
She knew she had a magical light inside.
She knew that just being Stephanie was enough.
And she could make her light grow.
And she could do whatever she needed to do in this world.
Stephanie decided to go back over to her dressing table.
She got out her journal and wrote all about her journey to Moonbow Forest this time.
She didn't want to forget any of it.
The moth.
The flowers.
Her light that she has inside.
She was going to remember the light.
And the next time she came into something that was scary.
Maybe a test at school or maybe she had to be on stage.
Maybe she had to say something important to a friend and she was scared.
Whatever it was,
She was going to close her eyes and think about her internal light in the middle of her chest and make it grow.
Make it as big as she was.
And remember that she could do anything.
Step.
The end.
