Corrie here.
Let's do a bedtime story,
Shall we?
Together.
Me and you,
So you can see me.
Are you ready?
To meditate.
With Corey.
If you are,
Climb up into your bed and get super,
Super comfortable.
Make sure that you're wearing your cosy,
Comfy pyjamas.
All is well in the world so that you can relax your body and let go of your busy,
Busy day.
Right?
So now that you're in bed and you're all snuggly and comfortable.
We're going to talk about Jack.
Jack and his magical paints.
He was in the bathtub.
It took to having a bath in these swimming shorts Don't know why.
Maybe it was the age.
Maybe it was just a thing he was going through,
But.
.
.
He got his favourite shorts on.
And on one of the sides of the legs of the shorts was a shark.
Was inspiration.
Who's going to use his magical paints.
To paint a shark.
The side of the bathtub.
Now,
If you've not heard any of Jack's stories before,
Jack has magical pain.
And in his bathroom is this big white.
Plastic kinda surround.
In the bathtub.
Like most people,
You know,
When you're in the shower and you've got that thing that surrounds you.
Jack normally uses his paints and he paints on the side.
Of the bathtub.
And then what happens?
Is.
Magically.
Whatever he paints comes off the side of the bathtub.
And he's alive.
Physically real So maybe.
.
.
30 seconds.
Maybe two minutes,
Maybe three minutes,
Sometimes,
Maybe for a long time.
Jack never knows.
And then what happens is,
And the picture and everything else just drop into the bathtub.
And disappear.
As if it never,
Ever.
Jack's magical paints.
Pretty frigging magical.
Let's just say that.
Today he was going to paint a shawl.
Now,
Jack was quite brave.
He'd painted sharks before.
He painted all sorts of stuff that had come real.
The shark one was a little bit scary.
But this time.
He was going to paint the shawl.
And he had an idea.
What if?
First he painted a boat.
That he was in.
So when the shark actually came alive,
It didn't just come out and bite him.
He was in a boat.
Jack was getting quite smart.
So the first thing he did was he didn't paint the shark first.
Of course not.
That would be crazy.
He painted his bow.
Fishing boat.
It was a good fishing boat.
It was quite big.
It was made of wood.
But it had a sale.
It wasn't that small that it was just oars,
You know,
Where you have to row the boat.
It wasn't that small.
Because if this was going to be a decent sized shark,
It didn't want the shark to be able to.
Bite into the bone.
Like Jaws the movie.
So.
Painted a boat that was quite big.
Big enough for like maybe three,
Five people.
And the boat had one of those motors on the back.
It was quite a fast boat.
Case he needed to escape.
And he took his time.
Painting it.
Methodically.
All the little details.
The grains of the wood.
Everything.
And then you wanted it to be a nice day.
So he painted the clouds.
He painted the sun.
Painted some birds in the sky.
And then he wanted the ocean to be pretty.
So he painted the ocean.
In like a crystal clear blue colour.
With little tiny ripples and waves.
He was really,
Really paying attention because.
.
.
If his magical purr,
If his magical paints,
Did what they always did.
He wanted it to be perfect.
And then.
He started to paint the shop.
It was a great why.
He thought about painting a hammerhead shark because he really liked those.
But he was like,
No.
I'm going to do the great white.
The scariest to me.
And I'm going to paint it with lots and lots of rows of teeth.
He took his time on the teeth.
And the shark had its mouth open.
And its head was out of the water.
As if it was diving into the sky for something.
Maybe it was diving up and out of the water into the sky.
The job.
But jack felt okay about that because he got his he got his boat So he wasn't too worried about it.
But he wanted the shark to be.
Scary enough for the experience because he wanted the experience to feel.
As real.
Possible.
And if the shark was only tiny,
It wouldn't have been ours.
Impressive.
The shark was a lovely,
Shiny gray.
Bluish Grey and he paid a lot attention to the black eyes.
On the show.
He did them that good,
Dude.
It was one of those where if you move,
It looked like the shark was following you.
And then.
.
.
He painted the slightest little bit of pink.
In the gums around.
And laughs and laughs.
Sparkly white,
Shiny,
Pointed teeth.
It was finished.
He held his brush and he looked back at it,
As if to say.
Hmm.
And while he was doing that,
Everything started to move.
Forward.
His boat.
The water,
The sky,
The shore.
The shark's eyeballs,
The shark's teeth.
Sharks grin.
Everything came off the wall.
And Harvard.
As real as real could be.
Jack swallowed.
Like the biggest swallow.
Oh gosh,
What have I just done?
He saw himself in the boat,
But.
.
.
Jack.
Forgot to paint himself.
In the boat.
So there was a boat,
There was a shore.
And there was Jack.
As if he was just.
.
.
Hovering right there with them.
No protection.
No safety in the boat.
Jack's mouth got as big as the shark.
The shark turned towards Jack.
Completely ignoring the boat.
It started to move even higher.
Oh,
George John.
Didn't know what to do.
He froze.
Oh.
And then.
.
.
Came out of Jack's mouth.
Just as much.
Came out of Jack's mouth.
He smacked him in the face.
And slid down his body.
The grays,
The browns,
The blues.
The different colours slid down him as if it had been mud pied in the face.
Jack.
Took the biggest.
As if to say.
Oh my gosh,
That was close.
Jack's mum came running in the bathtub.
While she ran in the bathroom.
Towards the bathtub.
And she said,
Jack,
Are you OK?
And Jack said,
Oh,
Yeah.
Yeah,
I'm all right,
Mom.
Full Salam!
Jack,
Why are you painting yourself?
I thought you were going to paint the bathtub.
Jack's mom knew that he painted the bathtub because Jack always cleaned it up afterwards.
She didn't mind,
But she didn't know that his paints came to real life.
Jack said.
Eh.
.
.
Just trying something new.
I'm going to swim it off.
See how long it takes me.
I'm gonna sneeze too.
Plot the story.
You So then,
Jack.
Started to swim off all the pain.
In the bathtub.
And the bathtub was grey and yucky and brownish looking.
Once the colors were all mixed together,
It was pretty bad.
He was happy.
His shock was so realistic.
His boat was really good.
Next time,
He needed to remember to paint himself in the boat so that he would be completely safe.
And then if the magic lasted longer,
Well then.
Maybe Jack.
Could make friends with a shark.
You never know.
The Okay,
My little petal.
Make sure that you fall to sleep and you get a good night's sleep.
And.
.
.
You know that I love you and I care about you.
You're the best.
Bye-bye.
