Media attention goes for Miley Cyrus,
Wayne focuses on the Coronavirus.
Call your doctor,
Counselor and advisor,
Because we ran out of hand sanitizer.
Protect yourself,
Your son and your daughter,
I went online and can't find any water.
Protection is key,
But what's up with the panic?
People act like they're on the Titanic.
Honestly though,
What I miss the most,
It's the hugs and the kisses.
I'm feeling like a ghost,
Not even a handshake,
Just a low behind the mask,
Not just physical,
But a spiritual task.
Unless we treat each other with love and respect,
No vaccine can protect and the virus comes back.
It doesn't differentiate between Christian,
Muslim,
Jew and weak.
I learned that from the virus too,
We are one and we are all connected.
We all want the same,
To feel love and respect physically,
Maybe reduce your travel,
But spiritually.
Don't forget what's the battle,
It's in your mind,
Your own consciousness.
You need to decide not to wait for Congress,
Choose trust over worry and calm over fear.
One day we'll look back and say,
What a year,
It all looked like one bad dream.
Europe travel ban,
Millions in quarantine,
Everybody was precautious and just trying their best.
Suspending NBA season,
Canceling South by Southwest,
We experienced it all.
Hang a fear and confusion,
Needed to figure out what's real and what's the illusion.
Handshakes were greeted with a kind no thanks,
Cause the virus didn't care if your name was Tom Hanks.
We learned it didn't matter,
Title power or your rank,
Doesn't matter how famous or how much money in the bank.
Different stories throughout history,
But the message is the same,
Can count on the physical alone,
It's a spiritual game.
Stock market was crashing,
Universe kept testing.
I like to tell my kids that we have learned the lesson,
We started to act with mercy,
Love and compassion.
Care more about the soul than the make up and the fashion.
Looking up from our phones and look in people's eyes to control our lives,
Not controlled by the device.
Learned that on one thing only,
We can count,
Trusting a higher force while both feet on the ground.
Remember before dawn is the darkest moment of the night.
Woke up from the dream and all darkness is now light.
