In this long sleep story, you set off to end a curse that has been placed upon your town. You go in search of a dungeon where you will find a book of wisdom that will offer the knowledge to break the spell. You journey from the town, into woodland, through to a clearing to a river where you camp for the night, and experience a reverie, before continuing your journey. As you continue, you encounter a multi-dimensional being that teaches you some skills. After your encounter, you continue your journey to the dungeon. You find and read the book, removing that curse, before heading back to the town.

Okay,

So just take a moment to allow your eyes to close and allow yourself to begin to relax and as you begin to comfortably drift asleep,

I don't know whether you'll find yourself drifting asleep faster to the sound of my voice or whether it'll be to the spaces between my words and as you comfortably drift asleep,

I'm just going to tell this sleep story in the background and in this sleep story you find yourself setting off in search of a distant dungeon looking for a book of wisdom which will contain a magical spell that will break a curse which has been inflicted by a witch upon the town and this curse has made everyone experience bad luck,

The farmers find that their crops don't grow,

The cows aren't producing milk,

Shops find that they don't get enough custom and if something can go wrong everyone in this town experiences it going wrong and you don't yet know whether the bad luck is confined to the boundaries that define the town including the fields around the town or whether the bad luck follows you wherever you go but you know that you need to set off to find that dungeon to find the book of wisdom to try to break this spell and so the town folk wave you off and wish you good luck and you set off initially on horseback but before you've passed all the fields you find that you just can't keep the horse's head out of the grass and the horse just refuses to go beyond the boundary to the town and so you have to make the journey on foot and you walk along the stony path from the town heading through countryside sounds of birds in the sky and birds in the bushes the rustling sounds of the leaves as the wind blows a breeze through the trees and the bushes the sound of a million fronds rustling in the fields almost looking like waves of wind passing across those fields and the sensation of each footstep that you take on that stony path the slight dull thud of each footstep the sensation of your feet hitting that solid ground heading further from the town towards the nearby woodland and feeling the warmth of the Sun tickling your cheeks the sensation of breathing in that air and a certain stillness setting into your mind as your body seems to almost go on to autopilot continuing that journey arriving at the woodland passing into the shadow of the woods continuing along that path footsteps changing sound as you crunch on the leaves and the path heading deeper and deeper into this woodland the smells of the woodland the slight musty smell occasionally touching the bark of the trunks of trees as you go and hearing the scurrying of squirrels and the sound of them leaping from one tree to another being aware of that stillness here that there's the gentle rustling of those leaves from all around you and yet there's also certain stillness like the breeze is stopped by the trees and so the air within this woodland is still and yet you're surrounded by the sound of the wind outside the woodland rustling the leaves high above you and something about the rustling of the leaves brings the most comfortable deep relaxation to your soul and you don't know whether you'll be carrying bad luck with you or whether you left the bad luck at the boundary to the town but what you do know is that the journey this adventure is opening your mind and calming your heart and bringing that stillness from outside of you to inside of you and after half a day of walking you take a moment to stop and rest and you rest with your back against a grand gnarled old oak tree and you have a bite to eat and while resting there so quietly and peacefully so unobtrusively of the nature around you you watch as a string of ants travels across the woodland floor and ascends a tree seeing some ants seeming to be standing just outside the line of ants as if to keep those ants on track as if to say go that way John that's right keep going that way and some of those ants are just walking along empty-handed so to speak and others are carrying twigs and leaves and other bits and pieces they've collected often significantly larger than themselves occasionally you'll see a couple of ants sharing the duty of moving objects as you watch while they ascend into a tree curious where they're going up that tree perhaps they have a hole into the tree that they're heading into and you watch with intrigue with that curiosity almost like a childish curiosity the curiosity that many adults lose as they grow up that curiosity for the wonder of nature of noticing the little details in the most pleasant way and after watching those ants while eating the food because you're resting there so calmly so unobtrusively nature just gets used to your presence nature stops seeing you as any kind of threat nature stops being wary of you and so you begin to notice the deer walking through the woodland grazing as they go occasionally looking up and around the grand stag just standing there looking so graceful almost like a king of this woodland here and continuing watching seeing those squirrels scamper up and down tree trunks jump from tree to tree through the branches and then one curious squirrel scurrying along the woodland floor in your direction in short bursts darting a little bit stopping perching on its rear legs its front feet curled up in front of its chest looking so calmly at you sniffing away before scurrying a little closer and repeating the process and you notice that some of your food had fallen to the woodland floor and that this squirrel had noticed and so it was scurrying closer and closer to that bit of food checking the whole time that you remain safe and no threat to them and once close enough they dart the last little bit of distance grab the food and dart back a bit before munching on that food twirling it around in their front paws nibbling away nibbling away and then dashing off to a nearby tree climbing that tree with a bit of the food in their mouth as it's time for you to continue your journey and so you continue walking through this woodland just following this path so calmly so relaxed until eventually you can notice in the distance that there's more light ahead and this woodland seems to be opening up to a clearing and so you continue on towards that clearing and as you reach the clearing so you squint a little as your eyes adjust to the light you smell the most fragrant fresh smells and scents of the flowers the dazzling array of color in this meadow the other side of the woodland you walk through this meadow footsteps sounding very different as you walk through the long grass a rustling coming with each step the sense of flowers gently wafting to your nostrils as your walking disturbs the flowers around near your feet and as you continue to walk through this meadow a peacefulness begins to pass through your mind and body something about the beauty of this meadow fills you with peace and calm and you're aware of the journey you're on and the destination you're trying to reach and the task you're trying to complete and yet at the same time there is a lot that you're learning and discovering from the journey and this journey so far hasn't been an arduous task it's been a pleasant experience and so you continue through this meadow enjoying this pleasant experience as you watch the way that butterflies fly from plant to plant the way bees dart from flower to flower the sounds of songbirds out here and the circling birds of prey overhead just gliding so gently in the warm updrafts barely putting in any effort to stay aloft and you continue through this meadow and you can see some distant hills as you walk through this flat meadow towards those distant hills and it takes you most of the rest of the day to finally reach those hills and this is about as far as you've ever been from the town everything beyond here is new and undiscovered to you as you ascend the hills as night begins to set in the sounds of birds calming in the background the night time sounds beginning as the Sun so beautifully sets over the horizon the sky turning shades of oranges and reds and purples the blanket of stars twinkling to life overhead the hills the meadows everything in every direction that you can see illuminated with the silvery glow of the moon deep blues setting in in all directions as you continue down the other side of those hills and while heading down the other side of the hill so you can see a river glistening with silver light like millions of twinkling diamonds shimmering before you snaking their way through the landscape you head down towards that river and down near the river you set up a camp light a fire fire crackling gently to life the light of the fire dancing flickering flames making shadows dance around you the smell of that campfire the warmth on your cheeks bringing a deep comfort within you and you have yourself something to eat you know you've now traveled further than you've ever traveled before and you've done this all on foot and you rest back as the campfire burns down to embers gazing at the sky the occasional cloud illuminated with rainbow colors as it crosses the moon a ring forming for part of the night in the sky like a halo around the moon the occasional silvery shooting star stretching across the night's sky and that sound of the crackling fire burning down to embers and of the gently bubbling water of the river slowly moving a short distance away from you as you find your eyes gently closing and you drift peacefully asleep into a reverie and while drifting into that reverie so you start to dream of being a bird circling overhead gliding with the updraft of warm air and spying some distant ruins of a castle and flying over to those distant ruins landing on the keep of that castle and discovering yourself as a person walking around the keep passing through a door and descending gently down some steps within that keep from 20,

Stepping off the last step finding yourself stood at a large heavy wooden door gently pushing that door open and walking into a chamber within these castle ruins and seeing someone dressed in armor sat on a throne within this chamber and they appear to be friendly and so you approach them and they say that they're a messenger and they're here to give you a message they've been waiting for you for a long time and so they stand up the sound of the armor clinking and rattling and they walk over to you and they tell you that the path ahead is long and untraveled but what you'll find will bring freedom will lift the curse and the journey will be like magic for you the journey will reveal things to you about you and so the end goal will be helpful to you and all the others in the town but when you return the journey will have changed you slightly and you may not know fully how because it's something that you can only discover with time and with this this world around you begins to fade and you discover that morning is arriving and with the arrival of morning so you begin to hear the sounds of daytime birds again and as more of your attention is paid to the world around you as the dream world fades so you better hear that bubbling river and you awaken fully you prepare yourself to continue your journey you follow this river walking alongside the water the sweet fresh scent of the water bubbling past some of the grass along the edge of the water being quite tall so just reaching down a little and you can run the palm of your hand your fingertips over and through that grass feeling the tickle touch of the grass on your hand and while walking you're aware of the hills receding to the distance behind you this meadow this river stretching out in front of you and you know way off in the distance what currently just looks like a slight bubble on the horizon is actually a mountain range you're heading towards where you'll eventually find the location of the dungeon and so you continue walking through this meadow listening to the sound of the water bubbling alongside you and then you spy an almost ethereal white horse grazing in the meadow you head over to that white horse and it remains so peaceful so calm you rest your hand on the side of its neck feeling its warmth hearing its breathing feeling the sensation of the horse's coat under your hand and the horse stops eating for a moment to lift its head and turn its head sideways as if to almost make eye contact with you before lowering its head again in such a way that makes you think this horse seems to be allowing you to climb on to its back and so you climb up onto the horse's back without a saddle or any bridle the horse raises its head and just begins to carry you on the rest of this journey and you nudge it gently with your feet just to get it up to a speed and the horse does the rest of the work and as the day continues on so the Sun passes across the sky and you see in the distance while continuing what looks like a shack and you direct the horse towards that shack you dismount near the shack and you go knock on the door and you take a few steps back to look see if it looks like anyone's in you can see there's a little smoke rising from the chimney and the glow from inside the windows and then the door opens and a squat man with the largest most friendly smile answers the door they invite you in and gesture for you to relax in a chair by the fire they make you a drink they offer you some food and you've been traveling a while today so you accept that food and drink they begin to talk with you and you notice around this shack the shelves full of old books and stacks of old books on the floor and scrolls just strewn across work surfaces and tables and they say that they're a multi-dimensional being that they can close their eyes and guide themselves into a state of mind that phases through dimensions from one reality to the next that they can only phase in the present through those dimensions so they can't travel back or forth in time only in space but not in three-dimensional space but in interdimensional space and they explain how to do this they tell you they'll guide you through an experience that will help you to be able to move from one dimension to another allowing you to follow certain paths where there's a fork in the road and multiple options can be made you'll be able to shift realities from the reality that you're in to one where the decision you wanted to follow is the reality you find yourself in and obviously if you choose you can shift back or you can just follow the realities you'd like to follow and with intrigue you agree this sounds interesting and that you'd like to learn and so they ask you to put down the drink and food to close your eyes and listen to the crackling fire and as you rest there with your eyes closed breathing in that specific way listening to the crackling fire so you may occasionally hear the sounds around you or outside and this can just help to ground you help you to become more relaxed to be more comfortable shifting realities so as you rest there listening to me they say you can hear the sound of my voice and sometimes it can go with you taking on the form of wind or other sounds other times perhaps my voice seems to fade out completely as you become deeper absorbed in your inner experience and sometimes you'll hear my voice as you hear it here now guided following along engaging the words and ideas that I present sometimes aware of the engaging other times phasing out as you engage on a deeper level almost like practicing phasing out into alternative realities and so while you listen to me here you can hear what I'm communicating and notice the most comfortable warmth like a healing light passing down through your head your cheeks your face with each breath that you take breathing in that comfort and healing breathing out any tension and the stuff you want to let go and release continuing to breathe in that light that healing that wellness that connection with things around you breathing out that which you want to let go and as you just breathe naturally while following along so the healing light passes down through your face around your ears relaxing the muscles around the side of the eyes around your temple relaxing the muscles around your face your upper neck your lower leg your jaw relaxing the muscles down through the shoulders around the neck and the front of the neck down through both arms and I don't know whether the relaxation will happen faster down one arm or the other or whether the relaxation will reach the fingertips at the same rate and speed for both arms and as you relax deeply now you can listen along even deeper to what I say as relaxation passes down your back softening relaxing deep within you and the shoulder blades the upper back round under the armpits and around your chest and relaxing you so deeply down through your chest and your sides continuing the relaxation down those arms to the hands all the way to the fingertips down to your lower back your lower sides round your abs down to your bottom and down through your legs relaxing you deeper and deeper into the experience of developing the shifting reality ability with that relaxation continuing all the way down to the tips of your toes as you find with each breath you glisten with the healing light almost as if it's pulsating through you within you and out from you connecting you with all things and they tell you that it's like becoming quantum entangled with the multiverse where because your quantum entangled a part of you a deep part of you is aware of all realities simultaneously and so being aware of all realities simultaneously you're able to shift realities you're able to make an observation of the reality you wish to be in and the realities collapse for you to be in that reality and they give you a moment to practice this outside of conscious awareness and so you take what can feel like a long time to practice this over what is actually a short time through to mastery and after taking that time to practice this you find yourself instinctively awakening in that shack that multi-dimensional being smiling so friendly at you and then reminding you of the food and drink as you become aware again of the crackling of the fire and your surroundings and you eat the food and drink the drink ready to continue your journey feeling that something has shifted within you and they tell you that this change this ability to reality shift means that the curse can't affect you because you can just keep shifting realities to follow realities unconsciously without any conscious effort on your part to follow the realities that give you the outcome you desire and that happens automatically and unconsciously and you can always keep that in mind they say before wishing you farewell and good luck with a smile as you remount that horse and continue on your journey noticing how the Sun has begun setting already but you want to gain some distance make some progress before stopping so for most of the night you continue to make this journey on the horse and this white horse seems to almost glow and illuminate the area around you with that ethereal soft gentle glow of light and you continue on and you notice yourself getting tired as it gets later and later and you notice your eyes just wanting to close and yourself wanting to drift soundly asleep all night but you know that if you close your eyes and drift soundly asleep all night you'll just fall asleep and remain asleep soundly through the whole night so you push on for a little longer fighting that urge to sleep trying in vain as hard as you can to try to stay awake for a little longer so that you can push on a little deeper on your journey but eventually tiredness catches up with you too much you find yourself drifting asleep for moments at a time having to try in vain to fight that and so you dismount from the horse you set up camp and within just two or three or perhaps five blinks your eyes shut fully and you sleep soundly all night long finding that you have the most incredible deep recuperative slow-wave sleep and you sleep thoroughly through the night discovering how that sleep happens just from closing your eyes at bedtime when you're tired like that and it's safe and appropriate to do so it's set in so easily and so you sleep all night awakening in the morning to the warmth of the horse's breath as it nuzzles next to you to alert you that it's time to continue this final leg of the journey and you can see those mountains aren't that far off now with that Sun rising over the mountains you journey towards them and on reaching the mountains you dismount the horse you head into those mountains on foot struggling your way up ascending the mountains climbing higher and higher until eventually you see what looks like an old castle ruins you head into those ruins where you find a trap door you clear the debris of the trap door open that trap door and descend into the dungeon beneath you illuminate this dungeon with a torch as you explore and in this dungeon you see a plinth and on that plinth is a single ornate old book you head over to that old book you open the book and begin to read and as you read out loud so swirling light begins to form like a mist around your feet rising up around your body encapsulating yourself and the plinth and the book pulsating color passes through this mist a slight whirring sound patches of light flashing and as the mist clears so you feel that something has shifted you have that sense that perhaps the spell has lifted that the curse has lost its power but you won't know for sure until you're back in that town and so you make the long journey home and the horse remains with you the whole way back from the mountains through the meadows back past that shack over the hills and far away back to the woodland and through that woodland and as you approach the village now being gone a few days you see how lush everything looks you see how good the crops look and you're greeted by an excited fanfare of people and you discover that what you have done has worked and everyone now experiences that good luck and they still have periods of bad luck but now it's normal as it was before rather than a curse and you don't know whatever became of the witch who invoked this curse in the first place however you do know that the curse is broken and hopefully will never be able to return and the thing that you find most comfortable is when you finally get to settle down in your own bed for the first time in many days tuck yourself under your blanket snuggle down so deeply so profoundly before drifting and floating relax to sleep into slumberland sleeping through the whole night
