Beginning this meditation by closing your eyes,
Put a hand on your heart and say to yourself,
I am part of nature.
Just like all nature rests,
I can rest.
I am part of nature.
Just like flowers rest in the winter.
Just like volcanoes rest between eruptions.
All of nature rests.
I am a humble part of nature.
I have the humility to know that I am just part of the general rhythm of things and I can rest.
There is nothing I really need to accomplish in this life,
But my joy and growth.
I am here on this earth to practice non-harm and to put love,
Real love,
Real love into everything I do.
And for that,
I need my rest.
To practice non-harm and to be a loving presence,
I need my rest.
Keeping this hand on the heart,
Say,
I commit to resting just like I commit to working.
I commit to self-compassion just like I commit to compassion for others.
I give myself time and space and pause to grow.
As an act of self-compassion,
I give myself time and space and pause for non-doing.
And those moments of non-doing,
I am creating energy.
And this energy is there to make my wishes come true.
Feeling that your commitment to this heart,
To listening to this heart,
Is having space for non-doing so you can hear this heart.
And now take a deep breath in on your own time for your own pleasure and take a deep breath out.
And thank yourself for having done this practice to start to process your resistance to resting.
Opening your eyes.
