I feel that there's a real misconception in our time about what is freedom.
People think that freedom is being able to have cake and ice cream every single day.
That is not freedom.
Freedom is when you feel good.
Freedom is when you have energy,
When you have your health,
When you have full access to your inner,
Outer,
Physical resources.
So freedom is a life that allows you to feel your absolute best.
That is a sign of freedom.
Freedom is when you're fresh in the morning.
Freedom is when you're in a good mood.
Freedom is when you work toward making your wishes come true.
Freedom is not eating cake all the time.
Freedom is actually having the impulse sometimes to eat cake and sometimes,
Rarely,
Eating sugar,
Processed sugar,
Drinking rarely.
But the rest of the time,
Doing the things that make you feel your absolute best,
That is self-compassion.
Making choices right now that your future self will thank you for,
That's self-compassion.
That's self-kindness.
Make those choices and that's freedom.
