By popular demand, this is my morning meditation infused with gratitude, affirmation, intention - but WITHOUT any background music. Because some of you enjoyed the previous meditation but found the music distracting - this time, we start and end off with a gong instead. When we start our morning connecting with gratitude, affirmation, and intention - it sets the tone to win the rest of your day. All you need is just 10 minutes! So hop into something comfy, and let's get started.

Good morning,

And welcome to another beautiful day.

May we take the next 10 minutes to start our day connecting with that quiet,

Grounded space within.

Let's begin today by either taking a comfortable seated position,

Or laying down in bed,

Or on your yoga mat or cushion.

Taking a few moments to settle into the surface beneath you,

The surface beneath you,

Supporting and holding you back.

Close your eyes and start to connect with your breath.

Lengthen the inhale,

Lengthen the exhale.

Welcoming this beautiful new day.

Welcoming this feeling of being alive.

Welcoming this next breath.

Grateful to be here.

Grateful for this breath.

Grateful for being alive.

Inhale gratitude to be here.

And exhale.

Inhale gratitude for this breath.

And exhale.

Inhale gratitude for this life.

And exhale.

On your next inhale,

Feeling the belly rising and expanding in all directions.

Front,

Back,

Both sides.

Feel the expansion of the ribcage in all directions as your lungs fill up on the inhale all the way into the chest.

Then feel the falling of the chest,

Ribcage,

Belly as you exhale.

Continue with deep belly breaths.

Inhale peace.

Calm.

Grounding.

And exhale.

Three more times,

Inhale peace.

Calm.

Grounding.

And exhale.

Two more times,

Inhale peace.

Calm.

Grounding.

And exhale.

One more time,

Inhale peace.

Calm.

Grounding.

And exhale.

Staying for a few moments and feeling into what is present in this very moment.

Let the thinking mind soften,

Aware of thoughts that may be present,

Everything just as it is,

Simply softening the thinking mind.

And if it's helpful,

Dropping into the physical body and the sensations that are flowing through you,

Everything just as it is,

There is nothing to change.

As you soften the thinking mind,

Perhaps softening all the way down into the heart space,

Feel the pulsing of the heartbeat,

Feeling the breath expanding through the heart space,

Rising and falling of the ribcage with each breath,

Opening up to the flow of energy and life pulsing through you with its warmth and vibrance.

This feeling of aliveness as you welcome in this new day with gratitude.

From this place of gratitude,

Affirming this intention,

I am focused on this moment right here,

Right now.

Today I am mindful,

I am happy,

And I am living in the moment.

Perhaps you might like to repeat out loud or in your head,

Affirming this intention together.

I am focused on this moment right here,

Right now.

Today I am mindful,

I am happy,

And I am living in the moment.

Taking the next few moments to feel into or open into this intention from your heart space,

Or perhaps repeating it like your mantra.

I am focused on this moment right here,

Right now.

Today I am mindful,

I am happy,

And I am living in the moment.

As you continue to nourish this intention,

Know that at any moment today,

You can always bring yourself back to this very affirmation.

I am focused on this moment right here,

Right now.

I am happy,

And I am living in the moment.

Sensing and feeling your heart space once again.

Taking a moment to be grateful for this time you've taken for yourself on this beautiful morning.

And may your intention nourish and support you in every moment today.
