Hello,
I'm Rhys Jones,
And welcome to this lucid dream incubation recording.
What follows is a lucid dreaming story,
Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.
It can either be listened to for fun,
Or with the intent to sow seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.
If you're listening just for fun,
Then you are,
Of course,
Free to put this on at any time during the day or night.
However,
If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,
Then we recommend listening to it either just before getting into bed,
Or whilst falling to sleep.
So I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.
If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,
Then use this time now to prepare for that.
Turn off your lights,
Draw your curtains,
Get into bed,
And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.
And when my voice returns in a moment,
The lucid dream incubation will begin.
You come to,
In a bustling cityscape.
Not immediately lucid,
Merely taking in the surroundings,
The sights,
And the sounds.
But then,
With a flash of awareness that comes abruptly and takes you by surprise,
You realize that something isn't quite right.
The details of your surroundings seem to be shifting as if in response to your thoughts.
How?
You wonder,
Searching your mind for possibilities.
At first,
You feel tempted to explain the phenomenon away with some nonsensical reasoning.
But you resist,
Your lucid dreaming training kicking in.
This isn't waking life,
You realize plainly.
I'm dreaming.
And with that,
You go off to explore.
Excited by your newfound awareness,
You navigate through the bustling streets,
Dodging the dream characters as you go.
You brush up against one,
Then turn side on to avoid another.
Hang on a minute,
I don't have to dodge them,
You realize.
And with that,
You start to move through them,
Instead,
Right through them.
As if they weren't there at all.
Eventually,
They begin to disappear entirely,
Leaving just you in the environment.
The newfound silence envelops you,
And you continue exploring,
In peace.
From afar,
You notice a building that has a mirror-like surface.
With curiosity piqued,
You approach to get a closer look.
I wonder what my reflection will look like,
You think.
Once upon it,
You're startled by what reflects back.
Your face looks psychedelic,
Taking on a life of its own,
Shifting and morphing in the same way the environment was at the beginning of the dream.
You stare,
Enraptured,
When all of a sudden the reflection steps out of the mirror,
And into the environment around you,
Mimicking your movements precisely,
But with a subtle hint of eerie perfection.
You take in its strange form,
Flabbergasted at how real it looks.
Your doppelganger stands before you,
Identical in appearance yet exuding an air of otherworldliness.
You can't help but feel a mix of fascination and unease as you study this mirror-image version of yourself.
The doppelganger smiles knowingly,
Acknowledging the strangeness of the situation.
Silently,
It motions for you to follow.
So you do,
Walking through the winding streets of the dream city.
Along the way,
You notice that the world continues to twist and change,
Responding to the doppelganger's thoughts as well as your own.
Where are we going?
You ask.
Somewhere you know,
It responds mysteriously.
From there,
A long conversation between you begins.
After an array of questions and probings,
You realize that the doppelganger possesses a profound understanding of you.
An understanding that leaves you wondering things you've never wondered before.
Wondering about your life.
Wondering about your friends.
Wondering about who you truly are.
At first,
This makes you uneasy,
But then,
You embrace the unknown,
Continuing to walk alongside the doppelganger,
Talking as you go.
As the dream continues to unfold,
You and your doppelganger find yourself exploring a surreal landscape,
Outside the confines of the city.
After a while,
You begin experimenting in strange and peculiar ways.
You raise buildings from the ground.
You turn the sun on and off.
You evoke emotions that make your hair stand on end.
The experience is an awesome one,
Awesome and mysterious and deeply introspective.
And so,
You continue playing with your doppelganger.
This time,
Kicking off the ground and flying together.
Now,
As this chapter of the lucid dream nears its end,
You land back on the ground,
Gracefully,
And your doppelganger gestures towards the horizon.
You see a brilliant light growing in intensity.
Is it the sun?
You wonder.
But then,
You realise,
It's merely the end of one thing,
And the beginning of another.
The doppelganger explains that it's not time to return to the waking world quite yet,
But it is indeed time for the two of you to part ways.
He assures you that the insights and experiences from this part of the dream will stay with you,
All the way to waking.
And you nod,
Bathing in the growing light,
Taking in each other's energy.
And so,
With a final shared smile,
Your doppelganger waves goodbye,
And you step into the light,
Entering a whole new chapter of the dream.
For a moment,
It's quiet,
Pure silence.
You're just floating there,
In the void,
With your thoughts,
Reflecting on everything that just happened,
Examining,
Interpreting.
You give thanks to the lucid dream,
And acknowledge how,
With the right mindset,
These experiences can truly challenge your beliefs,
Reveal new insights about yourself,
And allow you to explore the endless fields of your consciousness.
An awesome experience,
An awesome experience indeed.
With your time in the void coming to an end,
A new scenario begins to form.
At first,
You just go with the flow,
Curious to see what manifests.
But then,
You decide to take a more active approach.
It's time to step into the director's seat,
You think,
Focusing your mind on the act of creation,
On what you want to experience,
On where you want to be,
And on exactly what lessons you want to learn.
I'm ready,
You think,
Make it so.
If you listened to this lucid dreaming story just for fun,
I hope you enjoyed it,
And if you listened for induction purposes,
Then I hope this parting message now finds you relaxed and drifting.
Your lucid dreaming seeds have been sown,
Your mind has been primed,
And you are ready for sleep.
And so with that,
I draw this session to a close.
Remember,
You are a lucid dreamer,
Never forget it.
Happy dreaming.
