Hello,
I'm Rhys Jones,
And welcome to this Lucid Dream Incubation Recording.
What follows is a lucid dreaming story,
Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.
It can either be listened to for fun,
Or with the intent to sow seeds,
For a lucid dream later on in the night.
If you're listening just for fun,
Then you are,
Of course,
Free to put this on at any time during the day,
However,
If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,
Then we recommend listening to it,
Either just before getting into bed,
Or whilst falling to sleep.
So,
I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.
If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,
Then use this time now to prepare for that.
Turn off your lights,
Draw your curtains,
Get into bed,
And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.
When my voice returns in a moment,
The lucid dream incubation will begin.
You come to,
Lucid from the outset,
Standing in the middle of a busy street.
Everything around you looks ancient.
I must have travelled back in time.
You think,
The buildings are tall and made of brick and stone,
With wooden shutters hanging from the windows.
There's lots of hustle and bustle around you,
People talking,
People walking by,
And so on.
Everyone's wearing old-fashioned clothes.
You look down at yourself,
First at your hands,
To ground yourself in the dream scene,
And then at your clothes.
You notice that you too are dressed in similar clothing.
Feeling adventurous,
You decide to explore this new world.
You wander down the street,
Taking in the sights and sounds of the old town.
You notice a group of people gathered around a small stage,
And you make your way over to see what's happening.
As you approach,
A man with a long beard takes to the stage and begins to talk about current events.
His thoughts on the recent opening of the Statue of Liberty is his centerpiece.
You realize at this point that,
Through the magic of lucid dreaming,
You've travelled back to the late 1800s USA.
Intrigued to explore more,
You decide to make your way down the street to a nearby store.
The shopkeeper welcomes you in and offers to show you around.
He introduces you to all sorts of fascinating objects,
From old-fashioned telephones to quill pens and inkwells,
Then an exquisite pocket watch.
This is quite the item,
You think,
Moving it around your hands,
Transfixed by its beauty.
The feeling of it keeps your dream senses engaged,
And,
Therefore,
The dream vivid.
Now,
Back outside the store,
You continue to explore the town.
After a few minutes of meandering,
You come across a group of people gathered around a large tree in the center of the town square.
They're engaged in a heated debate,
And you decide to approach to see what's going on.
Your ears prick.
They're debating the merits of a new invention that's just been announced,
The automobile.
Some people are excited by the idea,
Whilst others are worried about the jobs that'll be lost.
You stand by,
Listening keenly,
Reminding yourself that you're dreaming.
Feeling inspired by the debate,
You decide to see if you can find a way to ride in one of these new-fangled machines.
You wander around the town until you find a man with a horseless carriage parked outside his home.
You introduce yourself and ask if he'd be willing to take you for a ride.
Without a second thought,
He agrees,
And you climb into the passenger seat of his car.
As the car accelerates away,
You feel the wind in your hair,
And you can't help but laugh with excitement.
As the dream wears on,
You begin to tire of your current environment,
And go searching for a dream portal.
You're ready for the next chapter.
You think.
During your search,
Whilst walking down an empty street,
You feel a hand on your shoulder.
You spin around to find a man in a black suit,
Standing behind you.
He introduces himself as a lucid dreamer just like you,
And explains that he's been sent into your dream to help you to the next.
You walk with him down the road,
Talking side by side.
The lucid dreamer leads you down a narrow alleyway,
And into a small room where he hands you a small silver device.
That button there,
He says,
Pointing.
That will begin the process.
You press it.
Suddenly,
You feel a rush of energy surge through your body,
Equal parts serene and exhilarating,
And just like that you're teleported through the void.
It's an experience that defies description.
An endless expanse of swirling colors and pulsing energy.
You let go,
Knowing that you're completely safe within the confines of the dream.
As you hurtle through the void,
The colors shift,
Morphing into brilliant hues of every shade and tone imaginable.
It's as if the void is a canvas,
And you are a paintbrush,
Leaving streaks of color in your wake.
The sensation of speed is thrilling,
Yet you somehow feel weightless.
As if suspended in midair,
The sound of rushing wind and crackling energy fills your ears,
Creating a symphony of sound that echoes through your dreaming mind.
Occasionally,
In the way,
You catch glimpses of strange and otherworldly landscapes,
Fleeting glimpses of alien worlds and dimensions that exist just beyond the edge of your perception.
These tantalizing glimpses flood you with a sense of wonder and as the portal opens further,
You begin to feel unity,
A oneness with the universe.
This is the pinnacle of lucid dreaming,
You think,
The absolute pinnacle,
But where you'll end up next is anyone's guess.
Of course,
You always have the option to control the dream,
But in this particular instance,
You let your hands off the wheel and give yourself over to the process,
Trusting that the portal will deliver you to exactly where you need to go.
If you listened to this lucid dreaming story just for fun,
I hope you enjoyed it,
And if you listened for induction purposes,
Then I hope this parting message now finds you relaxed and drifting.
Your lucid dreaming seeds have been sown,
Your mind has been primed,
And you are ready for sleep.
And so,
With that,
I draw this session to a close.
Remember,
You are a lucid dreamer.
Happy dreaming.
