Hello,
And welcome to this lucid dream incubation recording.
What follows is a lucid dreaming story.
It can either be listened to for fun,
Or with the intent to sow seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.
If you're listening just for fun,
Then you are,
Of course,
Free to put this on at any time during the day or night.
However,
If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,
Then we recommend listening to it either just before getting into bed,
Or whilst falling to sleep.
So,
I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.
If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,
Then use this time to prepare for that.
Turn off your lights,
Draw your curtains,
Get into bed,
And do whatever else you need in order to get fully settled.
And,
When my voice returns in a minute or two,
The lucid dream incubation will begin.
Anything that You come to,
In darkness,
The sound of drip,
Drip,
Drip.
Drip,
Just behind you.
It feels as if you're on your knees,
Although it's hard to be sure because of the darkness.
Lights on,
You demand,
Intuitively sensing that you have some control over the environment,
Even though you're not quite lucid yet.
In response,
The lights do indeed raise,
But just enough to make out your own body,
Nothing more.
And so,
You pull yourself up to your feet and begin to feel around.
So so so After feeling around for a while,
You surmise you're in a cave.
You're still not certain with the lights so low,
But the walls feel like rough stone and the air smells dank.
Plus,
There's still the sound of drip,
Drip,
Drip,
Which makes you think of a cave.
You head towards the sound of the dripping and,
As you do,
The lights raise a little more and reveal your full surroundings.
Indeed,
You think,
I'm in a cave.
So so so Upon arriving at the source of the dripping,
You look up to see an eroded tunnel leading out of the area you find yourself in now.
It looks as if the erosion has been caused by the dripping,
Likely over a period of many millennia.
You eye it over.
It looks just wide enough to squeeze yourself through.
And so,
You place your hand in a groove and hoist yourself onto a conveniently placed foothold and begin the arduous trek up.
So so The trek up is challenging but rewarding.
You continue hearing the drip,
Drip,
Drip,
And now you feel it too as it's landing squarely on your head.
After a while,
It wets your hair enough that it becomes drenched and starts dripping into your eyes.
Nearly there,
You think,
Catching sight of the top.
You make one last final push up and emerge into a new area.
So so so The space opens up around you.
You're now in a huge room,
Walls adorned with strange patterns,
More water gushing through from an opening above,
This time more like a waterfall and presumably the source of the dripping in the cave below.
And just in front of you,
A lava stream leading out of this room and into another.
Where on earth am I,
You wonder,
Lucidity beginning to stir.
Things don't seem quite right with this scene.
So so so So so so so so Now lucid,
You proceed to ground the scene,
Running your hands along the walls and bringing to mind what you had planned for your next lucid dream.
Think,
Think.
What was it?
Ah,
Yes.
You wanted to see your long lost relative,
You recall,
A person you haven't seen in many,
Many years.
And so with that intent now firmly in mind,
You begin the journey towards manifesting it.
So so so At first,
You struggle,
Trying to manifest them by walking along,
Pretending as if you're talking to them,
Then turning around to see if they're there.
But no luck.
Next,
You try holding them in your mind's eye,
Then blinking down hard.
But again,
No luck.
Impatiently,
You begin to pace.
And as you do,
You come across a small machine recessed into the wall.
You have a feeling it can help you somehow.
So you approach it.
So so so so The machine is equal parts futuristic and archaic,
A strange amalgamation of time periods.
It has a little hologram emanating from its center,
Flickering softly.
And just to the side of it,
A screen with a whole list of names you know.
An ex-lover,
Your father,
A friend from school.
You scroll through this list until you eventually arrive on the person you wanted to manifest,
Pressing down on their name and waiting.
So so so It doesn't work straight away,
But after a moment of deliberation,
The machine spits out a small hologram.
Of your person.
Larger,
You say.
And just like that,
The hologram grows,
Taking on a normal hue and shape.
And now it's animate.
Fully animate.
Oh my God,
You say.
I haven't seen you in years.
So so so As you look at the person,
You grow emotional.
Tears welling up in your eyes.
It's so good to see you,
You say.
The person smiles back,
Warmly.
Even though they appear very real,
You remind yourself that you're just dreaming.
You don't want to get too sucked into what's happening and lose lucidity after all.
But regardless of the convincing nature of the illusion,
Your person doesn't seem to want to talk.
It's OK,
You say.
Just seeing you is enough.
Just to be with you again.
Even if it's just a dream.
Oh You have now successfully planted the seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night,
And have primed yourself to recognize it as such when it occurs.
You are now also in a state of supreme relaxation,
Fully at ease,
Either sleeping or just now ready to begin the first phase of sleeping.
And so,
With that,
I draw this session to a close.
Remember,
You are a lucid dreamer.
Happy dreaming.
You are now in a state of supreme relaxation.
