The seeker cannot wake up. You've heard that over and over again. What is the secret? Well, I would say that for 24 years, This was a really, Really just determined secret, Not for all the 24, Sometimes in, Sometimes off. This body cannot wake up, So quit expecting it. What if the body suddenly gets an electric pulse through it? Oh, I've heard about that. I've heard that it might be a sign of awakening. It might be something that accompanies awakening, But it has nothing to do with awakening. The Lightning is not about the body. Mean the very first thing they taught you when you started non-duality was you are not the body And he went, Yeah, I know that. Boy, This body's really glad to know that. There's no one here that's permanently away. See this is shocking. That's the truth. There's no one here that's permanently awake. And many of you think, Well, Many of you think that Fred Davis is not awake at all, I'm sure. But there's many of you out there who believe that there's something over here that is like a guy or it's connected to this guy and it's permanently awake. And I want to tell you, That's not true. There's nothing permanent. There's nothing here. To be permanently awake. I'm awake to this arising, This moment, Or I'm not at all. So since this body is not trying, To wake up. Let's just do some math. Notice that there speaking and hearing going on. There's hand movements over here. Oh, It's such an animated character. You have to love it. The. . . Or not. But this is not going to wake up. So the body's not going to wake up. The body's not going to. The body needs to have a specific thing happen to it before I can wake up. Is that true? No. We're not talking about the body. Well, Right now, If you subtract the body that's over there, Just subtract it, Just take the body out of the picture. I'm talking to something that can take the body out of the picture. That's the truth. You can actually see that there's nobody there. Until you can see that, Just release any attachments to the body. Just get the body out of there. Or if you don't believe you can, Then believe I can. I'm gonna subtract. This body from our equation. That we're working on here. Now when you subtract this body, What's left? There's no soul. I know nothing about souls. I know nothing about afterlife. I know nothing about any of that stuff. I'm not saying that there can't be dreams that may be along that line or something. I just don't know. But I know it has nothing to do with non-dual reality. It has nothing to do with what we're doing here, Which I guess is non-dual. It has to be non-dual, But I don't know what even that means. Just doing something. And the we're that's doing it is a whiteness doing is doing it with a whiteness. When you subtract the body, What do you find? Well, There is In the absence of the body, Then there's just this. In the absence of the body. There's just. . . Consciousness. Do you really need that body? This is consciousness talking to consciousness. This is awareness talking to awareness. Going to use them as the same thing for the moment. Awareness the same awareness has been listening to this i just want you to stop and check. And tell me, Do you need that body? If you will do that, Honestly, You're going to have to do what people do with me in session all the time, Which is tell me no. That consciousness doesn't need that body. It may need that body if it wants to express itself objectively. But let me ask you this. Consciousness that I'm speaking with right now. Do you really need to express yourself objectively? I don't think so. That's not the case here. And I've seen hundreds of people for whom it was not the case once they checked. So if you're checking and you're coming up with some other answer, You're wrong. You're off base. I don't mean you're wrong, Three strikes, You're out. I mean you're wrong, Change your tactics. Because we never change our tactics. We keep doing the same old thing, The same old way, And expecting something new to happen. And it doesn't. We're reading books, We're meditating, We're chanting, We're prostrating, We're doing all this stuff. The singing, Dancing. Begging. Rolling, Dancing. Because at the end of that. There's nothing. You can't wake up later. You can wake up right this minute. Because what I'm talking to is myself. You don't have to wake up, You just have to notice that there's a wakeness here right now. The ordinary every day. Golly, I'm hungry, I'm thirsty, I gotta go somewhere for that very thing. Dumb old, Regular old consciousness. That's it. When we're talking about higher levels of consciousness, I'm going to say that what we're really talking about is higher levels of clarity. Awakening is just like this like a light switch. It's off. It's on. There's no path to get there. But there's plenty to be done once the light is on. That's what this teaching really specializes in. You are a wakeness. There's nothing here to wake up. There is nothing here that is not awake. You are a wakeness. You are more like a verb than you are a noun. The whiteness doesn't have to wake up. There is no capacity for sleep. And when I talk about clearing up, It ain't clearing up awakeness. I mean, Awakeness is always here, Always clear, Doesn't need Fred Davis to help it out. So clearing is what? It's just clearing out patterns that are held by the unit. I don't quite understand all of it. I don't understand a lot of stuff, But I do know what works. This works. This works.
