Forehead massage with knuckles.
Hello and welcome to this face yoga exercise.
My name is Georgiana Petek and I am your face yoga teacher.
This particular exercise is a forehead massage meant to strengthen and relax the forehead muscles,
Increase blood flow and lymphatic drainage,
As well as release tension,
Anxiety and stress.
I recommend it for whenever there's a need of some energy boost or relief from headaches and migraines.
We can use any of our hands to make a fist,
Resting the tip of the thumb on the side of the index finger.
Using the second set of knuckles,
We press along the forehead,
Forming long loops that intersect each other,
Zigzagging across from temple to temple.
We're pressing and sliding the knuckles,
Going upward and downward,
As well as across the forehead.
The pressure we apply can be medium or hard,
Yet not painful.
We should be mindful not to bruise ourselves.
We're pressing and sliding the knuckles from side to side,
Going as slowly as possible,
5 to 10 times or 1 minute,
And then,
Maybe using the other hand,
We begin from the opposite side,
5 to 10 times again.
So upward,
Downward and sideways across the forehead,
Making long loops with the second line of knuckles.
Also ensuring that our fingers are clean and we're not transferring impurities or bacteria onto the skin of the face.
A total of 2 minutes.
