Letter.
Love Can Be Quiet and Still by Georgiana Petek.
Words jumping on page,
Busy hands on their way.
I believed you were mine for eternity when I plucked them out with care,
One by one,
All pretty and flattering,
Delicate tutus for little girls,
Grasping the notion of physical beauty and carnal display on musical notes.
Then avalanches came and trying to stop them,
The hold froze me in my frenzy,
Because who am I to expose the tremors of my being,
Insignificant feelings,
And most probably just the same as those of others so much more deserving.
We flew like doves and escaped many eagles,
Not by being fearless,
Just cautious.
We tasted clouds and drank rains.
We glided with winds and discussed our journeys together,
Always together.
Today my words,
Like me,
Disciplined,
Unwavering,
Untying sentiments at appropriate moments,
Fall like waves,
Calming themselves down whilst washing the shores.
I love you still.
