Poetry: I Forgive I Surrender

I forgive,

I surrender.

In the depths of my heart,

A tension holds tight.

I relent the struggle,

A war waged into the night.

The weight of mistakes,

Burdens I carry long.

I'm forgiving,

Unyielding,

My darkness holds strong.

But in the middle of the wait,

A flicker of light.

A whisper of hope,

Gently shining so bright.

A realization ignited,

A spiritual truth revealed.

To forgive myself fully,

To divine love I must yield.

So I embarked on a journey,

A quest to explore.

The depths of my being,

My heart pieces to restore.

With every step forward,

I let go of the past,

Embracing true lessons and soothing heart pain fast.

I forgive,

I surrender,

A remedy for the soul.

Releasing the shackles that once took their toll.

For in deep forgiveness holds life's sweet grace.

A chance to rebuild,

To find love its true space.

I forgive,

I surrender,

Letting go of control.

To trust in divine process,

To heal and console.

For life has its mysteries,

Its intricate dance.

In surrendering and forgiving,

I found my prance.

No longer in isolation,

Confined by my shame.

I birthed from the ashes,

Leaving nothing the same.

So here I stand,

I forgive,

I surrender.

A warrior of light,

Now able to remember.

That in forgiving myself,

I open to loving release.

A gift from source divine,

And a pathway to peace.
