Welcome to our Heavy Eyelids guided meditation.
In this session,
We'll be bringing ourselves into a deeply restful state with focused breathing and by surrendering our body and mind to the weight of relaxation.
I recommend lying down for this meditation,
Sleep is definitely encouraged.
Now that we're all comfortable,
With your eyes open,
I want you to look at whatever is in front of you and focus on one specific spot.
It's okay to blink if you need to,
Just keep your attention on the spot as we take some deep breaths in together and allow our eyelids to get heavy.
Breathing is one of our most powerful tools for relaxation and it's a key factor for a full night's sleep.
With your focus still on your spot,
Let's take our first deep inhale through our nose and we will release through our mouth.
Bring a deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Allow your eyelids to relax a little bit more,
With your eyes still focused on your spot.
Take your deep inhale through your nose and release through your mouth,
Allowing your eyelids to relax even more,
With your eyes still focused on your spot.
One more deep inhale through your nose and release through your mouth,
Finally allowing your eyes to completely relax and close.
Every breath you take allows your body to rest deeper into the surface below you,
Deeper and deeper into the ground,
Weighed down by the low vibrations holding you in place.
Continue gentle breathing now,
Observing your breath as you softly watch each breath come in and each breath go out.
Soft,
Easy breathing,
Breathing in and breathing out.
Watching each soft breath,
Focused on your breathing,
Watching each breath come in and each breath go out.
Soft and subtle,
Calming and peaceful.
Each breath allowing you to rest deeper and deeper into the surface below you.
Your eyelids are comfortably shut,
No strain,
No struggle to keep them open,
Simply closed and at peace,
Comfortable and at ease.
Continue breathing in and out,
In and out.
Allowing your breath with every inhale into the exhale,
Soft and simple.
Still breathing.
The heaviness from your eyelids reflects into the rest of your body as each muscle,
Each bone,
Each cell has a chance to completely relax,
Weighed down by the vibrations in your breath.
We will now take a few more deeper breaths in as we relax our body and mind even further.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Feel your body sink deeper into the surface below you,
Deeper and deeper with each breath.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Feel your body molding to the ground,
Heavy from the sound waves,
Relaxed from your breath.
One more deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
You are still in this moment,
Weighed down by the peace you are experiencing.
Your eyes are sealed shut and the heaviness sinks deep throughout your body.
Seemingly relaxed.
Gently breathing now,
Soft,
Easy breaths in and out as your mind drifts deeper into relaxation,
Deeper and deeper,
Becoming heavier and heavier.
Feel breathing in and out,
In and out.
Your mind slowing,
Your thoughts quieting,
Your breath relaxing.
Your body is heavy,
Completely surrendered to this experience.
No movement,
Just pure relaxation in the moment.
Feel your gentle breaths flowing in and flowing out,
Flowing in and flowing out.
Nice,
Easy,
Gentle breathing.
Your mind is still and your body is heavy in place.
Your eyelids are sealed in relaxation and moving is the last thing you want to do.
Just basking in this stillness.
And take another deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Feel your back against the surface of where you lay.
Feel how it sinks deeper into place,
Deeper and deeper into your seat.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Breathe deeper and deeper into the surface below you.
One more deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Your eyelids are heavy and sealed.
Your body weighed down and relaxed.
Your mind is quiet and your body is calm.
Gentle breathing now,
In and out.
Slowly observing your breath.
You are relaxed and comfortable,
Ready to submit yourself to slumber.
