Every time I try to wander,
They put me back in that cage.
But now,
I know that I can simply walk out,
Because the cage has no lock.
Each time I wake up in that cage,
I'll get up and simply walk out and go to a beautiful meadow which has been there all along.
People before me lived in that cage.
That's all they could show me,
A cage.
That's where I used to wake up,
Every day.
But now,
I know better.
So I walk down to the meadow.
I will keep on doing this,
Until I never find myself back in the cage.
Now,
I even wake up in the meadow sometimes instead of the cage.
The time period I stay in the cage is decreasing fast.
One day,
I will forget that the cage ever existed.
I know one thing for sure.
My kids will never know the inside of this cage.
They may know of a different cage,
But I will tell them of the meadow.
And of the mountains.
And of so many beautiful things that exist.
I will let them choose where they want to stay.
