Today we'll explore how to meet our bodies with softness rather than criticism,
Control,
Or pressure.
Before we begin,
Take a moment to get still.
Find a comfortable seat or lie down if that feels better.
Let your eyes soften or close.
We'll take three audible breaths together.
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Let the exhale be full and open.
This kind of breathing helps calm the nervous system and signals to the body you're safe,
You're here,
You can let go.
Inhale through the nose,
Exhale through the mouth.
Again,
Inhale and exhale.
One more breath in and let it go.
Now,
From this quiet place,
I offer you these words.
Dear Higher Power,
My body has carried so much.
Tension,
Fear,
Memories,
Pressure.
I've pushed it,
Judged it,
Tried to change it,
Ignored its needs.
Today I want to offer my body something different.
Softness.
Help me soften the way I breathe,
The way I sit,
The way I move.
Help me listen without rushing.
Help me tend without shame.
Let me remember that this body is not a problem to fix.
It is a home to care for.
May I meet tightness with presence,
Fatigue with gentleness,
And pain with compassion.
Even if I forget tomorrow,
Let today be a small return to softness,
Trust,
And love within.
I leave this in your hands.
