The Magic Of Water Signs

What does it mean to be a water sign?

Welcome back to Venus Lessons where we talk all things mysticism for modern women.

We are diving into the fourth element in the four elements as it relates to astrology.

First and foremost,

Let's cover that the three water signs in astrology are Cancer,

Scorpio,

And Pisces.

And though they have the element in common,

Each of them brings a unique energy to that water element.

So I am going to chat a little bit about the symbolism,

The energy,

And also I wanted you just to know that this video applies whether you have your moon,

Your sun,

Or your rising in a water sign.

Or if you have dear ones in your life,

People that you know,

Folks on your team who have any of those in a water sign,

This is totally the right video for you.

I absolutely love that astrology works with the four elements and much like tarot does,

Which you've probably seen in some of my other videos,

And I will drop those links in the description because there is some really beautiful crossover between astrology and tarot.

And one of the key ones is the four elements.

The thing that I love about that is sometimes there are folks who really relate to astrology from a very like up in the clouds,

Clearly,

Because it is the study of the stars.

So yes,

It is meant to relate to as above,

So below.

And the way that I use it is I believe it is for our development.

It is for our awareness and our awakening journey.

It is all about your soul and it is a beautiful mirror like any practical tangible tool.

Same goes for oracle cards and tarot.

It is a mirror.

It is meant to help you see who you are.

And the way that I use it is I really believe that every element,

Every sign actually has gifts and a shadow or superpowers and your kryptonite or blind spots.

But I will share those for another video.

Today we are going to dive in to the water element and how that is both practical and tangible,

So how we really relate to it in a practical way,

And also the symbolism because astrology does relate to,

It deals in,

It's you know connected to the symbolism of the stories that we relate to as human beings.

So that is how I'm going to approach the water element today and let's go into it.

The water element,

It is related to growing.

So you can tell that water is essential.

If we didn't have water every single day or at least I think how long can you last?

Let me know if you're one of those folks who knows how long we can last without water.

It's not long,

It's a few days,

So depending on where you are.

But basically it is essential to life and part of the symbolism of water in astrology is emotion.

It's also part of the creative and the feminine side.

So both earth and water are considered the feminine elements and together they make things grow.

So think about the soil and the water that comes down or that flows in and they together make it possible to grow things.

So it relates to emotion,

It is all about flow,

And I would imagine if you have a water sign you totally know that it means that you are sensitive,

You are often highly highly intuitive,

Because water is related to the intuitive arts,

To the intuition,

To intuition,

And it is also a beautiful mirror.

So it relates to emotions as well as being psychic.

And I'll talk to you in a little bit Scorpios because all three water signs are,

But Scorpios are off the charts.

So those are the key things that water means if you have moon,

Sun,

Or a rising in a water sign.

And we'll go into what each sign actually,

How it expresses that water element,

Because all three signs have those key pieces to them.

They all do have elements of emotion,

Creativity,

Psychic abilities,

Intuition,

Flow,

And each of the three signs has its own specialty.

So let's go into the unique expression of the three water signs.

Cancer comes first and it is the sign that leads us into summertime.

It is related to the moon and also to emotions in a really deep way.

So I like to think of our cancers as our emotional leaders in the world as long as they're in their highest expression.

So cancer comes along at the beginning of summer to lead us into growing and understanding ourselves through our emotions.

It's also very much about connecting to our ancestors so that that deep relating and those lovely lovely roots.

So cancer more than any of the three signs is meant to teach us the wisdom of our emotions.

And then Scorpio comes along which you probably know because Scorpio,

Everything related to Scorpio,

You can see it in the season that's around Halloween.

So it is the middle sign in.

Is it the middle sign?

Yes it is!

It's the middle sign in autumn and it comes along to end the growing cycle and to bring everything back down into the earth.

So Scorpio is really known for deep psyche,

Deep psychic work.

The death and rebirth cycle is very much related to Scorpio.

So it brings us into the depths of the water,

The depths of the flow to just really go deep.

Scorpio is designed to take us deep because we need that.

We really do.

And it's something that,

You know,

At least in the West is often kind of shunned because people get nervous around depth and psyche and death and the things that we've kind of lost touch with and yet it's so essential to feeling alive.

Pisces comes in that time of year,

In fact it actually finishes up the astrological year and it finishes up winter before we're about to go into Aries,

That first sign of spring.

So Pisces is so known for its being all as one,

Like connected to everybody,

Its compassion,

Its creativity and its deep deep intuition.

Pisces is amazing because it is that mutable water that flows.

It's the two little fishes.

So Pisces is that elevated water,

That water that wants to bring everybody together through those psychic waters and through intuition and through just compassion,

That emotion and that experience of compassion.
