Hello and welcome.
My name is Kim from Mindfulness Manor and I'm here to walk you through your meditation for this evening.
Begin by finding a comfortable position in whatever way feels best for you.
Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth and letting go of any tension you may be holding on to.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest with the sensation of the air passing through your nostrils.
With each breath,
Feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed.
As you continue to breathe deeply and letting your breath fall into its natural rhythm,
Imagine yourself in a serene place,
Perhaps a quiet beach at sunset,
A peaceful forest glade or any other tranquil setting that brings you comfort.
Picture the sights,
What do you see,
The sounds,
What do you hear and the smells of this place,
Allowing yourself to fully immerse in the tranquility of the moment.
As you continue to breathe deeply and evenly,
Let go of any thoughts that come and occupy your mind and imagine them drifting away like leaves on a gentle breeze,
Leaving you feel light and peaceful.
With each breath,
Feel yourself become more and more relaxed,
Your limbs getting heavy and as if you're being wrapped in a soft comforting blanket.
Allow the sense of calm to wash over you,
Soothing your body and mind.
Again if your thoughts start to wander,
Gently guide your focus back to the serene scene you've created in your mind.
Remind yourself that it's okay to let go of your thoughts and simply be present in this moment of peace.
Continue to breathe deeply and calmly and feeling yourself sink deeper and deeper into relaxation,
Allowing yourself to surrender to the sensation of stillness and tranquility surrounding you.
As you start to feel yourself drifting off to sleep,
Embrace the darkness surrounding you like a warm cozy blanket,
Comforting you as you enter into a restful slumber.
Take a few more deep breaths,
Feeling gratitude for this moment of calm and relaxation.
Know that you can return to this place of tranquility and peace whenever you need to quiet your mind and find peaceful restful sleep.
