Hello,

My name is Kike Csikszentmihalyi and welcome to the Future Self Meditation.

Take a moment to find a comfortable position,

Either sitting or laying down.

Close your eyes and begin by focusing on your breath.

Inhale deeply through your nose.

Exhale slowly through your mouth.

Feel your body relax more and more with each breath you take.

As you continue breathing deeply and steadily,

Let go of any tension in your body.

Allow your mind to become calm and clear,

Free from any thoughts or distractions.

If you feel any tension in your body,

Maybe take another breath in,

Into that space of tension and let go.

In your mind's eye,

Visualize a timeline stretching out before you.

This timeline represents your life with the past behind you,

The present where you are standing right now or laying down,

And the future ahead of you.

However,

If your timeline goes from left to right or right to left,

That's totally fine.

As you look along your timeline,

Notice how it glows with a warm and inviting light,

Guiding you towards your future self.

Begin to walk forward along your timeline,

Moving toward your future self.

As you walk,

Feel the excitement of meeting the person you will become.

You already are.

This version of you has achieved your dreams and goals.

You overcame challenges and grown in ways you desire.

Take a moment to observe your future self.

Notice how they look,

How they stand,

The expression on their face.

Pay attention to the qualities they embody,

Such as confidence,

Joy,

Inner peace,

Happiness,

Empathy.

Imagine stepping into the body of your future self.

Feel yourself merging with this version of you,

Embracing all their qualities and attributes.

How do you think?

How do you feel?

How do you see the world through those new eyes?

Experience the emotions and thoughts of your future self.

Feel their confidence,

Happiness,

And this new strength.

Now,

As your future self,

Look back along your timeline.

See the path you traveled to get here.

What challenges did you face?

What obstacles did you overcome?

What fears or doubts did you conquer?

Reflect on the emotions you felt during these times and acknowledge the moments of courage that you had.

Notice how you learned and grew from each experience,

How each challenge was a stepping stone to your growth and an amazing teacher.

Begin to trace your steps back along the timeline,

Moving from your future self to your present self.

As you move backward,

See each significant moment,

Each decision,

And each action that led you here.

As you pass each milestone,

Recognize the strength and resilience you showed.

Acknowledge the lessons you learned and the skills you developed.

Really feel the gratitude for the journey and the wisdom you have gained along the way.

Now,

Feel yourself arriving back at the present moment.

Bring with you all the insights and knowledge you have gained from your future self.

Take a moment to reflect on where you are now,

The person you are today,

And that future self person that already lives within you.

As you stand in the present,

Ask yourself,

What is the next step I need to take to move forward toward my future self?

What action can I take today,

This week,

Or this month that will bring me closer to my goals?

Allow the answer to come to you naturally.

Maybe a small step or a big leap,

But trust in your intuition and your inner wisdom.

And now,

Come back to the world of the senses.

Take a few deep breaths.

And when you're ready,

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.

And slowly open your eyes.
