Psychic Medium Lauren Rainbow here and today I want to talk to you about the difference between intuitive,
Psychic and mediumship abilities.
This is something that we all have within us.
Everybody has intuition,
Everybody has psychic senses and everyone can connect with spirit.
But sometimes the unique parts of them are more similar than you know and you're utilizing them more often than you know.
So let's break it down really simple for you so you can see maybe which voice might be already stronger within you and how we can help you get more in tune with all these beautiful aspects of yourself.
So let's start with intuition.
Intuition is your inner navigation system.
It is the core of all three abilities.
You're making intuitive decisions all the time.
Every moment of every day,
Your energy and your kind of auric body is receiving information and helping you navigate your way around the world based on that information.
Now,
Most of you may call it a gut instinct and or,
You know,
A feeling in your heart,
But really your intuition is your inner navigation system.
System.
Are in Receiving information from the living people in the world or animals even They become the source of information And so that is psychic awareness the source of information being all the things in the world now that are helping you navigate Or where if you're an intuitive or if you are a therapist Perhaps you're using a lot of information from those people who are connecting with you to help give guidance and love so they are the source of information.
So when I do a psychic reading and someone's like,
I want to know more about my life,
Where am I going,
Lauren?
Then I'm going to tune into their energy field.
I'm going to kind of see where they are in their life right now,
Maybe see the potential of where they're going.
And also I might see back into their life to see some things that might still need some resolution.
So I'm working with the living world and they are now my source of information.
So when we work with intuition and psychic and mediumship abilities,
By the way,
The way we perceive information is often similar.
What really changes again is where that information is coming from.
Or other energies beyond this world.
So now my source of information is going to change to the energies I'm communicating with from the beyond.
So if I'm doing a mediumship reading for you and you want to connect with a loved one in spirit,
Then I'm going to reach my energy out there.
I'm going to look for the source of information from the spirit that wants to connect with you,
That will give me information about who they are,
How they are with you,
And any messages of love they want to give in support.
Support you.
Mediumship is really about becoming the tool or the bridge between the living world and the beyond world.
The word medium,
Literally in artistic terms,
Is a Kind of the tool that creates the art.
So when you're using a certain medium like a paint brush your medium might be Watercolors or pastels,
You know the the aspect in which you want to create that energy From your mind onto the canvas as mediums.
We're doing the same similar thing,
But we're receiving inspiration from the spirit I become that tool that helps the message come through to you.
So when we step into the of being trying to help you guide and move your way through your life.
Sometimes our egos kick in a little bit,
And that's when we might feel a little bit stuck,
Like,
Oh,
I don't know which way to go.
So when you feel like I wanna go toward the left,
But suddenly you start questioning yourself,
Maybe that's not where to go,
My instinct is telling me to go there,
But my ego kicks in and goes,
Maybe it'll be safer to take a right turn here.
So whenever you have that first feeling,
That first thought,
Of what to do,
Where to go,
Or how to maneuver through this moment,
That first instinctual feeling is always your intuition.
The minute you get a but or think more,
Well,
Maybe I need to rethink that,
That's your ego coming in to control.
Usually it's trying to do a good job and protect you,
But usually it's also distracting you from that first feeling.
So how many times have you made a decision Have had that moment where you think about it you go with the new thought and go back to oh I should have trusted that first feeling so that first feeling is always your intuitive thought and anything that kicks in after that is going to be your You know ego kicking in trying to control maybe protect you Or not just protect you but maybe make you feel safe because sometimes our intuition might guide us to step outside of our comfort zone comfort zone.
I know my intuition is always guiding me out of my comfort zone,
But that's often where the magic happens.
So learning to trust those first feelings,
And that is part of the practice,
Will help you be more in tune with your intuition.
The psychic world,
Like I said,
Remember,
Is when people come into our energy field.
If you meet somebody and they step into your energy and you're like,
Oh,
I love that energy,
They feel really cool to connect with,
That is your psychic senses,
Again,
Working as well as with your you unfolds.
Is True and so learning to trust again that first feeling from the source of spirit Recognizing the vibration of someone you love is coming through and giving you love So always remember that the first feelings are often the ones that you want to trust the most and it takes practice The other thing is when you make a decision against your intuition people do this all the time You have an intuitive decision maybe about someone you want to date.
I say that because this is where people really mistrust themselves.
Thought,
We tend to want to shut down and not trust our intuition when really you just got to forgive yourself for choosing against your intuition.
I do it all the time.
I still make choices that maybe my intuition is saying,
Think about that,
Lauren.
I'll still dive in and do it.
And so I guide you because when you make a decision against your intuition and your intuition is right,
Don't hate yourself for it.
Just say I needed the lesson.
I got the lesson.
I learned a lot down that journey and I'm also learning I'm going to trust my intuition next time.
But it is fascinating that sometimes people will shut down their connection if they misinterpret their signs.
So give yourself a little bit of grace when you're working with your intuitive psychic and mediumship abilities because it is a practice and there is going to be moments in your life you're not always going to choose in favor of those,
You know,
Kind of intuitive voices that are coming up and that's okay.
I still make many of those mistakes and I just take it as,
Aw shucks,
I should have a trusted myself and maybe I just wanted a new lesson along the way.
And one other thing I'm going to throw in here,
And I think we can talk about this more deeply in an upcoming video,
But another source of information that we need to give more credit to is the Akashic field.
Now,
Many of you may know that as the Akashic records,
And I have kind of played with this a bit more over the last few years,
And I've come to understand Akasha not just as a book you read or some kind of file you go get in the pod,
The Sphinx,
Which can be really quite lovely,
But it's really an energy field that is also another source of information that is working with you all the time.
And it comes into looking at that person that you meet for the first time,
Feeling really drawn to that person as though you've known them before,
But in this lifetime,
You're having a first time moment with them.
So what is happening here is your intuition,
Maybe even your spidey psychic senses are picking up on a pattern past life memory with the same vibration that you've just encountered.
And that is going to leave you to,
Wow,
We know each other somehow before that feeling of not maybe quite sure how to place it.
But in knowing that we have sat down and connected before,
We're just way too familiar with each other to be communicating for the first time.
So this is receiving information from your Akashic field.
And I do believe that's accessible to us all the time.
And as part of your navigation system.
As somebody who travels the world and has been on many beautifully,
Wonderful ancient sites,
I have often been to places where I'm like,
Oh,
This feels like home.
I know I have walked this land before.
And I've even been to some places where my soul knows I have been before,
But maybe it wasn't always the best life experience for me in that space.
So that is my Akashic energy field mixing in with my kind of soul energy,
My intuition,
And helping me navigate places I'm drawn to,
That I've been to before,
Or people that I'm encountering where I feel like I've known them before as well.
About the information that's coming up.
If it's you and somebody in the living that you're meeting for the first time and feel like you've known them before,
You're probably using your psychic ability with the Akashic Field.
If you're connecting with the spirit world beyond or feeling a guide come in knowing that you've worked with a guide for many,
Many lifetimes,
Your mediumship abilities are mixed in with the Akashic Field as a source of information.
And then anytime I am using If you are out in the world and you're somewhere familiar,
Then you've never really been there before,
But you know you're home,
Then your intuition is blending with the Akashic energy perhaps of that source place that you're standing on that is saying,
Hey,
We've been here before and this may be what that experience was like.
So I hope you take a moment and really sit with these ideas that you are intuitive,
Psychic,
And you have mediumship abilities.
You have all of these running through you all the time and maybe journal a little bit about the moments where you know you felt spirit or you really were clear about somebody else's energy in your life or have you ever just given random advice to somebody and just poured out this beautiful channeled information about them?
You're getting that information.
From their energy and you just become the channel of it.
Your psychic abilities are being active there.
And how many times have you just had random intuitive thoughts that have guided you to the most amazing aspects of your life?
Just take inventory of those moments.
Do a little journaling or maybe a little meditation about them.
And it will also help you enhance and understand better about how your intuitive psychic and mediumship abilities have always been with you for you.
This is just a little brief touch upon those beautiful abilities that you have.
