Welcome to the Spirit Rooms podcast, In the Flow with Lori Albert, Where we discuss tapping into our spiritual gifts, Meditation, And basically all aspects of spirituality. Welcome in. Who knew that the sense of smell could be a way to pick up messages from Spirit? You know, I find it so interesting and funny, Really, That this is possible. But it is. Claire aliens is the next Claire that I want to focus on on our ongoing series of the Claires of the Sixth Sense of Spirit Work. So last time I talked about claire sentience, Which is and can be kind of an intense Claire. You know, Honestly, It deals with so much stuff, Like relating to your body and mind and your feelings. But with this Claire, I wanted to kind of lighten it up a little bit and talk about something that was maybe a little bit more fun, Okay, And a little less dramatic. Claire aliens can be an amazing psychic and mediumship tool. Yes, It is about the sense of smell in messages from Spirit. But let's jump into this for a little bit. So, Okay, Sometimes when I'll be giving a reading, This Claire allows me to kind of zone in a little bit easier and more on what Spirit wants to say to the person sitting across from me. Like, For example, It may be, Let's just say, A grandmother coming through, And we can't figure out which grandmother it is, Okay? So all of a sudden, The grandmother on the other side will have me smell like baking cookies or a specific perfume, Okay? That's what I'm saying when I say it's so, So much fun, Okay? Because maybe that specific sense of the baking cookies, Oh, That I know which grandmother it is now because the other one didn't bake at all and blah, Blah, Blah, Whatever, You know, Or this lady was known for her cookies, Okay? So that's how Spirit can help with the validations, Okay? And I got to tell you, This story is just so funny. One time when I was, Oh gosh, I was really new in my development of all of the gifts and everything, Right? I was meditating. And I was by myself. I wasn't giving a reading. It was just me meditating. And I had a friend who had really passed just recently, Okay? And I was talking to her, And I wasn't sure if she was hearing me or, You know, I wasn't sure what was happening with that. And all of a sudden, I could smell her perfume. And this was really crazy and so poignant because I was allergic to her perfume. And we used to keep, We used to have to keep the windows down in the car, Like if we would be going somewhere, Because I would be, Like she'd get in the car and I'd be like, Oh my God, Seriously? You had, You wore your perfume? Oh my God, You know? And we would just laugh and laugh. And so her perfume was a serious validation. So I knew that it was her. Okay? So that's what I mean in terms of validative points. Okay? You know, All of this work that we do as a psychic or a medium is really all about the validations. If you think about it, The clairs, All of the clairs are the tools to help us receive those validative points. You know, My friend's perfume triggered a memory, Well actually several memories, Because it happened all the time, Right? And that was definitely validating. And that is exactly what we want to give when we're giving readings, Whether it's psychic or mediumship. Okay? Now for a couple really sort of fascinating things about clair aliens, I've never been able to prove this to myself, But it's been said that if you smell something rotten or really, Really gross, That that could mean that a negative spirit is nearby. Okay? Now I will say I've never experienced that myself, But if you think about it, It totally makes sense. Because on the other side of that coin, I've also heard that if you smell flowers or roses specifically, That that would mean that the higher vibrational beings are nearby, Like angels or ascended masters, That sort of thing. And I've definitely experienced the angels and the smelling of the roses. So I do know that part to be true. But here's the thing, Truth told here, I keep myself in the highest vibration as much as I possibly can so that I can be, You know, My point is, Is that I wouldn't smell anything rotten because, You know, Other than my own garbage, You know, I mean, I wouldn't smell it because I keep myself in such a high vibrational place. So I wouldn't have smelled that anyway. So a great way to start to explore your own clear aliens, Try taking time throughout your day to just be present. Okay? Close your eyes and just take notice of what you are smelling. Okay? It could be food, Could be floral scents, It could, You know, Perfumes or colognes. It could even be cigarette or cigar smoke. Right? Now let me just say this. And this may be my age talking, But who has not smelled Old Spice? If you guys remember Old Spice, Out of thin air, You know, Just out of thin air. Have you ever just smelled Old Spice? I don't know. To me, My whole life, I feel like I've been smelling that when there's no reason why I should be smelling it. Okay? I just, So now when I smell that, I know that it's my grandpa around, You know? Now there's also this. Interestingly, My husband, Who is not a medium or a psychic or anything, And honestly, Isn't even really into all this work, Right? It at night, He smells cigarette smoke a lot. Yeah. Right? Isn't that cool? Now we have tried debunking the cigarette smoke smell because, You know, He needs to have proof, You know, That sort of thing, But he smells it and he knows it. Okay? We've never found anyone around, You know, Smelling it. I mean, We smell the cigarette smoke. We've never known anybody who's around. So here's the thing. He knows that it's his grandfather around when he smells it and he's not into this work at all, But he knows that, Right? Isn't that beautiful? It's so freaking cool. You know, And honestly, I think without my hubby really telling me, I think that it really brings him a lot of peace. I really do. Yeah. So, Okay. So what we're going to do is we're going to do a little exercise, Okay, To see what we can smell. Okay. See what we can pick up. Claire aliens. Lee. I don't even know if that's a word. All right. So let's allow ourselves to sit comfortably. Okay. Get yourself feeling comfortable and we're going to take a few relaxing, Really slow, Deep breaths. Okay. So let's breathe in very slowly and release slowly again. Perfect. And let's do that one more time. Take a slow, Deep breath in through your nose and release it. So let's continue to sit for just a few moments being in the present moment. And as you are stabilizing your breath and breathing gently, I want you to notice any smells that may be in the air. Do you smell food or flowers? You might even smell rain or humidity. Some people swear that they can smell summer or even how about that tobacco smell. So let's sit quietly just for a few moments being, Just being in the here and now. Please just bear with me. . Allow yourself just to feel and smell whatever there is to feel or smell. Perfect. And you can know that this is always a place that you can come back to. Sitting in the stillness, Allowing yourself to just be. Perfect. Spirit is always right here, Always right with us. Namaste.
