Welcome to In the Flow with Laurie Albert.
Today is about happiness.
Awesome right?
We need some happy right now,
Don't we?
So yesterday,
Oh my gosh this is so funny.
Yesterday I was meditating and I was like I am so tired of feeling all this negativity right?
Yes okay so we know.
I watch the news,
I react to the news,
We all do,
We're humans right?
And I say this all the time,
We're spiritual beings having a human experience right?
Ram Dass,
Wayne Dyer,
Everybody says that right?
And I get that.
And so I allow myself to have those feelings.
But you know what?
You know you've hit the I'm done with this part of your life regarding that.
When you start to be like,
You just,
You just like,
You get this sort of weird disgust thing going on right?
So yesterday I'm meditating and I'm just like,
I'm done.
I'm done with the negativity.
I'm done right?
So I started this little challenge for myself and it was awesome.
So I thought oh my gosh I'm gonna tell you guys we need to do this.
This is so cool right?
Okay so this is what I did yesterday.
Yesterday I decided that whenever a negative thought came into my mind right?
I would say to myself,
Nope,
Nope,
Actually you're not supposed to say nope.
I do but you're not kind of supposed to.
You're supposed to say cancel.
Cancel,
Cancel,
Cancel.
I choose happy.
Not happiness.
Happiness is like to me okay and this is like Lori speak right?
So happiness is like this thing that's way above.
Happy is like an emotion right now.
That's my like sort of interpretation of it right?
So that's kind of how I roll.
So no,
No,
No,
Cancel.
I use happy.
I choose happy.
What am I saying use?
I choose happy right?
So all day long things are happening and I'm just saying I choose happy.
I choose happy and even you know what and it was interesting because even before I got to the negative thought I got pretty good at it and even before I got to the negative thought I was like I could feel it coming so I went cancel.
I choose happy.
So this is my challenge for us today.
Okay we need to keep the vibration on the planet as high as possible right?
Do you agree?
We have to keep it as high as possible.
The world needs us.
The universe needs us to be this way.
Again we're starting that ripple right?
So I was like let's do this.
Let's start a tidal wave of positivity.
How does that sound?
To me,
I don't know about you guys but to me that is like one of the most invigorating things that I could ever do.
Like a tidal wave of positivity.
Are you in?
Let's do this thing right?
Yeah and it all starts with us and I know I've said this before but it's just for some reason this point keeps getting driven home to me over and over and over again.
The point of it starts right here inside us.
I have a friend I don't know if she listens in or watches or whatever but she does the smile thing like every day.
My smile for today.
I absolutely love that because guess what?
It starts within.
It starts right here in our hearts.
In our being.
So what do you choose today?
That's my challenge.

So yeah so we're gonna meditate on this.
What did you think we were gonna do?
Of course we're gonna meditate on this right?
So let's get ourselves comfortable and let's take close your eyes whenever it feels right for you.
Let's take a nice deep breath in.
Breathing in the happy and release.
Releasing the happy to the world because when you breathe in the happy and it goes through your body into every cell you can't help it but breathe it out to the world because the world knows.
The world is watching.
Your loved ones,
Your family,
Your friends,
Whether it's over zoom or in person.
When you choose happy it's known.
They can tell.
Like attracts like.
When I choose happy I get happy back.
So to further that are you feeling grateful today?
What are a few things?
Just two or three that you are absolutely grateful for today?
What is on that gratitude list?
What is on that list?
Things that you are absolutely thankful for.
It could be the weather.
It could be.
It could be the meal that you plan on cooking today that you've cooked today that tasted so yummy.
It could be the fact that you and your loved ones are absolutely healthy.
That's a big one right?
What is it that you are absolutely grateful for?
And to further this,
One of the sacred questions of the universe,
Who are you being when you are at your best?
When you are being your best self in this world,
Who are you being?
Are you being happy?
Are you being compassionate?
Are you being loving?
Whatever works for you,
What is it that works for you?
Who are you when you are at your best?
And the beauty is it's all individual.
You get to choose for yourself and yourself alone.
Our mantra for today is an affirmation.
Today I choose happy.
Today I choose happy.
Today I choose happy.
Now as we sit in the stillness,
If you want to take this to a deeper level,
Smile throughout the meditation.
So we're going to sit quietly for a few minutes.
And taking it to that deeper level,
Put that smile on your face.
You can put your hand to your heart.
I will keep the time.
Do what feels comfortable for you.
And let's begin.

You can start bringing your awareness back to our bodies.
Start breathing normal.

Hold it and release.
Get that oxygen flowing through your body.
It's amazing.
So when you feel comfortable,
You can open your eyes.

I hope you choose happy today.
Take the challenge and tell your friends what you're doing.
