Hello,
Friends.
What a day today is.
I hope it is by you guys too.
It like,
This morning I woke up and there were clouds in the sky,
Which cooled everything off.
And I,
That just made me so happy.
It's beautiful.
So I mean,
Yeah,
It's been really hot.
So that's why I'm like super excited.
But anyway,
I am very thrilled for today's talk,
Obviously.
And always,
I guess I have so much to say.
So I'm sure you're not surprised.
But today,
What I have is a short story.
Yep.
So there's been a situation that I don't really want to get into here.
It's not for no reason other than I want the point of the story to be the important part,
Not the actual situation.
But it's been weighing kind of heavy on my mind.
Okay.
It's not huge and dramatic,
Just a thing,
Right?
So it's just a thing actually like we all have.
I mean,
I think we probably all have sometimes those things that are just weighing on your head,
Right?
Now,
It's been in my mind for a little while.
And you know,
Like most of us,
It doesn't seem to be fixing itself.
Okay.
Um,
Here's the kicker.
I have been trying to control the situation.
Surprise,
Surprise.
But what's funny about that is it really shouldn't surprise me that I'm trying to control the situation because it's me.
I am,
Well,
Sometimes anyway,
The queen of control.
And it's something I work on constantly.
Okay.
Right.
So anyway,
Last week,
I really started getting frustrated with myself because I couldn't control the situation.
Okay.
I really have to and want to think that at least maybe some of you understand what I'm talking about here,
Right?
As humans,
We try so hard to make things fit.
Whether it's because we don't want to hurt people's feelings,
Or we want things the way we want them.
That is the beautiful human mind at work,
Don't you think?
Anyway,
Back to my story.
After what seemed to be kind of like weeks trying to work things through on my own,
Right?
The controlling nature,
The way I wanted them to work themselves out,
Right?
My frustration rose to,
It rose to kind of a higher level.
And I started getting super irritated with myself in the situation and to the point where I was like kind of beginning to lash out at people.
Yeah,
Because I wasn't able to control the thing.
So what am I going to try and do?
I'm going to try to control everything around it.
Yeah,
It's kind of sad.
I know,
Right?
But you know what,
At least I recognize these things,
Right?
And that's the good news.
You know,
I was finally able to recognize what I was doing.
Yeah.
And what ended up happening was I went for a long drive.
Well,
Okay,
Not too long because of gas prices and all,
But I went for a drive,
Right?
And what I did was,
You guys are going to love this.
I chanted the entire time,
Right?
I put on David Prema chants,
Okay?
And I was belting them out.
And the funniest part is,
And you guys,
I've talked about this before,
But I have a convertible,
Right?
And it was sort of in the morning-ish.
So the temperature was kind of low so I could take,
Put the top down,
Right?
So here I do,
I have the top down in my convertible and I'm chanting at the top of my lungs,
Om Gom Ganapataye Namaha,
Right?
And that is a chant to Ganesh,
Who is the remover of obstacles,
Right?
So you know where I'm going with all this,
Right?
So it was really kind of cool to me,
Right?
I also then started chanting Om Mani Padme Hum,
Which is a healing chant and it sort of invites in purity and wisdom into our minds.
Okay,
So,
Okay.
So as an aside,
You know,
It's really pretty awesome to chant.
I have to say it like,
It helps to really kind of clear your mind and release that mind stuff,
You know?
So anyway,
Finally,
I get home and I could tell that Spirit wanted me to meditate.
Okay,
So I go into the Spirit room.
You guys know that that's my room,
Right?
I go into the Spirit room and I laid down and I threw my arms out to the side and I was like,
Spirit,
I am done trying to control this.
Can you please just fix it?
I surrender to however it is that you want me to handle this.
Focus on me,
Right?
So I then meditated for like,
And I'm not lying,
For like two hours.
I was just sitting there meditating,
You know,
And asking Spirit to help.
So you can kind of understand the point where I'm going here,
Right?
So,
But now,
Here's the fun part of this whole thing,
Okay?
I felt lighter,
But truth be told,
I wanted that instant gratification,
You know?
I had to keep just surrendering over and over and over in my head for like a while after that,
You know,
Because I needed to surrender myself to whatever Spirit had,
Okay?
And then over the next like 24 to 48 hours,
Some weird stuff started happening,
Right?
And I actually started recognizing that Spirit was working with me.
Yeah,
It was crazy.
I had two situations present themselves directly related to what I was stressed about.
And I never would,
I don't know if I would have acknowledged these situations.
I think that I had sort of walls up that were preventing the good stuff to come in,
Right?
I had to surrender,
Get the walls down.
It was extraordinary.
It was so freaking cool,
Right?
So I have to say it gets even better,
Okay?
That wasn't even my aha moment,
Okay?
My aha moment came when these situations presented themselves,
But it also like became aha-ish when I realized that I had to actually accept them.
I hope that makes sense.
Because accepting of answers is just as important as surrendering yourself to whatever Spirit has for you,
Okay?
Okay,
So here's my point in all of this.
Having little mind stuff breakdowns,
And then mind stuff breakthroughs are awesome.
But guess what?
We then need to accept what Spirit is going to give us.
We must allow in whatever it is that Spirit wants for us.
Yeah,
This is kind of big,
Right?
This part of it is kind of a big thing.
I really feel that like as humans,
We are really good and sometimes a little too good at complaining about stuff.
Oh,
And I'm right there.
I'm not trying to say that I'm not a complainy person because I'm right there.
We can all do it,
Right?
Our lives,
Situations in our lives,
People,
All of it.
I think that at least one of the true keys to happiness and fulfillment in our lives is a series of stuff.
Okay?
Firstly,
Recognizing that we are complaining about something,
Whatever it is,
Getting a grip on what we really do want out of life,
Out of the situation,
Getting a grip on it,
Asking for the solution to the issue,
Like in whatever form that's going to take,
Right?
You have to allow the solution to be whatever the solution is going to be,
Then surrender to the process.
And what I mean by that is actually relinquishing control over the outcome.
And then finally,
Accepting and allowing in answers and solutions.
We have to accept it because it's going to come to us.
We just have to accept it.
But check this out.
It gets even weirder and cooler.
Okay?
After I said all of that,
Right?
Doesn't that sound familiar?
Does that sound familiar to you?
The process of that?
It sounds a whole lot like manifestation.
Isn't that crazy?
You know,
Manifestation can take on so many forms and it can have twists and turns.
But the reality is,
If we surrender and stay in high vibration,
Spirit then can work within us.
It's astonishing.
We don't even need the word manifestation in the process.
You know,
We don't need to use the word manifestation,
But that's what it is.
Surrendering and allowing.
Boom.
So I hope that me sharing my little experience with you guys helped you to realize that it really is an art to surrender and allow.
It really,
Really can be.
Right?
Yeah.
So,
Okay.
So we are going to meditate.
Yes.
Because that is how we can close our mind.
Not close our mind.
What am I saying?
Not close our mind,
But open our mind and quiet our mind.
That's what I really wanted to say.
Quiet our mind for that.
Okay?
So close your eyes and let's breathe deeply for a few short moments.
Just allow yourself to breathe in.
Breathing in,
Allowing and accepting.
And breathing out control and fear.
Yeah.
Doesn't that feel beautiful to release the fear and the control?
Now you can repeat after me or you can just listen to the following.
All is well in this moment.
Life takes many turns.
And if we allow ourselves to be present and accepting,
The path will be made known for us.
Today,
I let go of what I cannot change.
And I trust the process that spirit has for me.
The universe has beautiful,
Unbelievable plans for me.
I surrender any expectations and wants knowing that spirit has even better plans for me than I can ever realize.
Throughout my process of surrender,
I know that staying grateful and in the highest vibration serves me unconditionally.
I accept and allow in to my being all of the amazing things that are coming to me.
