Welcome to this guided sleep meditation called Hooray It's Spring.

Let's begin.

Please squeeze your pillow and make it fluffy and dreamy.

Then settle into bed please.

Get comfortable and still now.

Close one eye for you.

Close the next eye for the magic of spring.

Let the eyes inside go left and right.

Left right in spring.

And your eyes will be looking left and right at all of it.

Then relax your eyes.

Take a nice deep breath and blow it out this invisible air.

Yawn if you wish and dreams begin.

Every spring a day of lots of things are flying in the air.

Well how else can the birds make a nest?

It's a bit like your bed.

After all there is more than one thing here.

Feel your pillow.

Feel underneath your body a blanket too.

And on top of you,

Up to your chin,

Another blanket.

And of course the frame of your bed that keeps it up high off the ground.

Keeping warm and keeping dry.

It's like being a bird in spring.

Now you might have to duck your head when outside.

For the blackbird has in its beak a rather long piece of dry grass.

It is so long it is dangling halfway down the house.

And so he stops to have a rest.

Let's pretend to be a spring blossom tree that the blackbird will declare to put his nest in.

Watch here he comes,

Flying with a lot of happiness in his heart.

He brings so much stuff one by one,

Flight by flight,

And searching,

And pulling,

And cutting,

And wriggling it free.

All his stuff is nature and how well it does last.

A mixture of twigs,

Grasses and leaves,

Moss and other little treasures that belong to the plant world.

Plus he must get a little dirty with mud to create a sturdy,

Cup-shaped nest.

So whilst he works,

And you are this tree,

You too are busy.

All your branches are coming alive.

New buds,

So tiny and neat,

And inside a flower each.

But you have thousands of spring buds.

Maybe by the time the blackbird has made his nest,

And maybe when Mrs.

Blackbird has put her little eggs inside,

Then all your pink blossom will be out on shell.

It's a bit like having a pink bedroom,

Or maybe white blossom,

And a white bedroom.

In some ways,

A blackbird will gaze before they sleep,

Up to the sky full of stars.

Maybe a sweet smell of blossom lingers all around their nest.

So it's an important job,

Being a tree,

Holding all the little eggs.

Now other spring visitors will come to you to be here.

The bees in search of flowers,

And the butterflies love them too.

It's becoming a very busy spring,

Just here at this tree.

Now Easter time is also the fun of chocolate eggs.

So think,

When you crack open this egg,

There may be a few young blackbirds doing the same,

Cracking out of eggs.

Feeding is full of joy,

Growing big and strong,

Everyone on earth.

Now below the tree,

Is also the ground flowers.

Some are super tiny,

The snowdrop and the crocuses.

But one of the most exciting flowers is bright yellow,

And looks like a trumpet.

Everywhere in England,

There are daffodils.

They almost look cartoon-like,

With bright green long stems,

And a super yellow bright trumpet of petals,

Singing of spring.

I hope you will explore all around you,

And especially around the floor of earth.

Ladybirds are marching,

Worms are wriggling,

Snails are going up the wall.

So enjoy the magic,

For spring is full of it,

And it's time to dream.

And be a part of spring.

What would you like to explore?

What makes life so good,

Is exploring.

So remember,

Dream big.
