Welcome to The Natural Way.
The Natural Way is a series of the Wisdom Path,
A set of seasonal reflections and meditations bringing you the medicines,
Messages and symbols that would have contributed to the survival and existence of your ancestors,
Connecting you back to nature,
Back to the natural way of living,
Being and developing.
Welcome to this first installment of The Natural Way.
And here we are exploring the nature of the wild primrose,
The winter primrose.
Deep in the depths of winter,
Where we are experiencing extreme cold,
Snow and ice and frost,
The winter primrose pokes its small head above the parapet and for a moment we gaze in wonder at its ability to survive the cold temperatures,
To be in bloom at a time of year when most things are hibernating or hiding.
The winter primrose is a symbol of light,
A symbol of survival and where you would have found this small but mighty and significant flower growing in small clumps you would also have found much richness beneath the soil,
In the surrounding area and so the wild winter primrose is a symbol to forage nearby,
To go deeper to go deeper where things are buried and this is to search for food where things are scarce and also an invitation to go deeper within yourself a time to reflect a time for gentle stillness a time to seek inner wisdom and to gently keep your inner light aflame with a soft gentle glow and this soft gentle glow keeps your soul illuminated,
Ignited but perhaps gently resting at this time and so whatever you are foraging for is done in the most restful and peaceful of ways you take your time to explore,
You take your time to seek the quiet answers and you are shown that some things can wait some things are not for right now there is no need to rush into them there is no need to hurry you can go down one layer more in your own time,
At your own pace the movements are small the stretching is slow and this level of stillness allows you to listen more allows you to hear the gentle dripping of the melting snow allows you to hear the gentle breathing of the small creatures who are still sleeping and slumbering and hibernating keeping their reserves reserving energy resting deeply and giving you permission to do the same in a mirror of the small woodland creatures the soft light emanating from the winter primrose and so just beneath the surface you will dig and find a layer of truth a layer of healing a layer of connection and because you have taken the time there is new insight and also new respite from the heaviness from the rushing from the pushing for how many times do you place your hands upon the earth at this time of year is it too hard or is it too cold but what if you did place your hands upon mother earth at this time of year to hear her gentle heartbeat slowed to a rhythm that now begins to match with your own slower calmer more peaceful aligned in rhythm in tune a sweet softness and gentleness a sweet silence and the deep deep knowing that this is a time to rest to recuperate and that no matter what has been pulling your attention pushing you in all directions at this very moment it can wait it can wait and it can wait and you allow yourself the nourishment that you need and indeed there is a small recognition idea,
Notion of what this looks like for you right now a piece of nourishment to bring you peace on a soul level aligning you with the softness the gentleness and the sweet savoured joy of taking your time which is maybe a sensation that has been distant from you but that now becomes a connection a beautiful connection to Mother Earth in her natural state of being in these winter months and you leave with the sensation the state of being that brings you into alignment,
Truth and rhythm with the natural way thank you for listening to the natural way and the messages of the wild winter primrose
