Do you secretly hate your home?
Do you ever walk around your home and just think,
Oh my god,
Like,
How is it that I came to be living here?
And have you got spaces in your home that you just look at and you just think,
Wow,
I just don't like this.
I just don't like being here.
But you don't know what to do about it.
And maybe it's a pile of stuff that you haven't sorted.
Maybe it's that you bought stuff years ago and you didn't really have much money.
So it's kind of looking a little bit old,
A little bit stale,
But you just don't know where to start trying to change it.
My question to you is,
Can you imagine that your home actually represents you?
So if you're not liking something about your home,
Is it that you're not liking something about yourself?
Your home is a representation of your own inner world,
Of your own,
I guess,
Headspace.
So if you're looking around your home and there's too much stuff,
Maybe you're avoiding sorting out some of your thoughts.
Maybe you're not processing your feelings.
If there's just one pile of stuff,
Go over to it and just let the feelings come.
And the things in that pile will show you what the thoughts are that you're trying not to have.
And if you can be brave enough to just sit there and feel those feelings,
Let those thoughts come,
Don't run from it.
You don't have to agree with it.
You don't have to love it.
It'll probably be really uncomfortable,
But just let it happen.
And see if you can process some of that stuff,
Then you might find that you can clear out the physical mess as well.
Or if the lounge room's just looking a little bit old,
Just go and sit in it and just be like,
What is it?
I'm here to listen to myself and just see what thoughts come up.
It might be that you're not loving yourself in a certain way.
It might be that you're feeling guilty about a certain part of your personality and that that lounge room has become like a physical representation of that.
And if you can address the inner thoughts,
The turmoil,
The feelings,
Hold space for yourself,
Allow and forgive yourself and love yourself in that space,
You might turn around and suddenly have the energy to revamp that lounge room.
