Gently close down your eyelids remembering there is always freedom in this restorative practice.
Because whilst yoganitra is traditionally performed in shavasana,
Lying back on mother earth,
Palms facing father sky,
The more important aspect is your ideal comfort.
So feel free to arrange the body in a way that feels most satisfying to you.
And just allow my voice to guide you now through this ancient form of yogic healing,
Beginning with the breath so that it resonates throughout your being.
Melt back and feel so light and free.
Like you can breathe a little deeper.
And expand your energy field in this very moment right here,
Right now.
Own your space.
And as you invite this lightness in,
All tensions begin to melt away.
The little muscles around your eyes relax now as your jaw unlocks and your navel eases freely.
That's right.
Continue to breathe deeply here,
Realising that your yogic healing has already begun.
Breathe out any feelings of heaviness or density in your body.
Have a deep sigh and let them go.
And perhaps you discover that the deeper you breathe,
The lighter you feel.
Becoming immersed in the ether element.
Relax deeper and deeper.
And allow this dreamy sensation to take over.

And now as you progressively relax more and more into your ancient practice of yoganidra,
You may bring your awareness to the top of the head,
Back of the skull,
Back of the neck.
The whole head unwinding and committing to rest easy here.
Both eyebrows relaxing and the eyebrow centre point of light.
Both eyes and the muscles behind the eyes.
The hollow space of your jaw.
Mouth.
Tongue.
Sensations within the mouth.
Now feeling both shoulders dropping down.
Both trapezius muscles letting go.
Both upper arms.
Forearms.
Wrists.
Hands.
Fingers.
And the tips of the fingers perhaps tingling with vitality.
Now relax the chest.
All muscles of the torso.
And the belly.
Melting your belly down now.
And the lower back.
And the pelvis.
Both glutes.
Both hips.
The muscles and bones of the thighs.
Carves.
Ankles.
Heels.
Soles of the feet.
Tops of the feet.
Toes tingling with the energy of your auric field.
Now focusing on opposite limbs of your vessel.
Right arm,
Left leg.
Left arm,
Right leg.
Left leg,
Right arm.
Right leg,
Left arm.
All limbs together.
The whole body vessel unified.
And with a wave of deep gratitude for the sacred geometry of your body,
You feel the whole body temple at once.
Coming together in all of its perfection.
Integrated.
Aligned.
Complete.
Perhaps you can move even deeper now into your rejuvenation.
Only by letting go.
Just let yourself be as you are right now.
