Hey Megan here from Libra Living Wellness Limited for the 33rd video of Libra Living Liberations and today I want to talk about being grateful.
This year I started.
.
.
I started doing a.
.
.
Gratitude Journal It kind of gives you prompts of what to do.
I don't know,
Ask you questions,
But it's focused around being grateful.
And.
I find that is a great practice to get into the habit of doing because it helps.
You to have perspective.
Especially when maybe things are not going.
The best for you.
At a certain point in time,
Because we all go through moments like that.
But by being grateful and for the things that you do have.
It really helps to shift you out.
Of that mindset of Why is this happening?
Or,
Oh great,
This is happening.
Um.
.
.
And I will be honest,
Because I keep these raw and real,
I have not been Um,
Doing it for the past few days.
So I really need to get back into it because I feel like It helps,
It really does help,
Even if it's just a small.
.
.
Bit,
I do find it helps.
When we're down,
If things aren't going.
The way we want or we're struggling,
Going through a difficult time,
It really helps to focus on being grateful for what you do have and focusing on those positive things in your life.
Because again,
It shifts our mind into something more positive.
Instead of focusing on the negatives and just helps us.
With a different,
You know.
View a different perspective of things.
And it's.
I'm mentioning this and I'm telling it to myself as well because as I mentioned,
I haven't done it for the past few days and I really need to get back into the habit of it because it is something I think that really does make an impact.
Even,
You know,
And it takes as little as,
You know,
Three to five minutes.
A day.
Of just being grateful.
For those good things that you have in your life.
I encourage everyone to get into that habit.
You don't have to journal it or write it down,
But you can even say them aloud,
Three to five things that you are grateful for in your life.
And focus on that,
Whether the morning works better for you or even both times,
Morning,
Maybe even lunchtime and in the evening.
Or making it even a habit when you are feeling down,
Maybe pause and say,
Okay,
I'm grateful for.
The roof over my head,
I'm grateful for water to drink,
And I'm grateful for the food.
That I have to eat.
I think it usually asks me five things and I will put really random things like I will put iced coffee,
My sweater.
And so it could be as simple as things as that,
Even if it feels silly,
You know,
Write it down,
Say it aloud.
Because it's just those simple things,
Right?
It again shifts us into focusing on more of the positive things in life and it helps us to feel better,
Like we feel better because we're focusing on what we're grateful for and sometimes saying those silly things or writing those silly things makes me laugh.
And that's better than feeling sad and down about something that's,
You know,
Not good that's going on in my life.
So I encourage everyone to get in the practice of being grateful,
Saying maybe three to five things or even more that you're grateful for each day.
And until next time.
