Welcome,
My name is Melanie and we have a few precious minutes today to connect with your body,
Your breathing and your being.
So let's drop right in.
Whether you're standing,
Sitting or lying,
We'll start by getting really comfortable.
You might want to let your body move and stretch out if that feels good.
Perhaps letting the shoulders move,
The head roll.
Gently stretching out the neck or the jaw,
Ankles,
Wrists.
Easing out any tension or tightness anywhere in the body.
Now as much as possible settling into a sense of ease and openness by sinking into the support beneath you and inviting length and alignment into your spine,
Whatever that means to you.
Take a moment to notice your breathing,
Just feeling how the breath moves in the body.
In-breath and out-breath.
Not forcing anything but not holding back either.
And breathing in pure fresh new energy and breathing out everything that you no longer need.
Noticing how that feels.
Noticing any sensations or feelings that might be arising and seeing if you can welcome yourself,
Whatever is here.
Each in-breath coming really alive to this moment,
Each out-breath receiving yourself just as you are.
Let's close by placing one hand on your heart,
One hand on your belly.
