Let's talk a little bit more about these secrets of change.

This secret is so powerful,

It transformed my life,

Because there is definitely a part of you that resists change,

But you don't actually resist the change.

This can change your life when it comes to any changes that you are dealing with in your life.

All change has something common that you resist.

You see,

Your soul,

You wanna grow,

Evolve,

And become more.

You want to change.

That's that urge in you.

That's that feeling of,

I yearn for change.

I need change.

I want change.

That's part of your soul dynamic.

That's a part of you that does desire change,

Wants to grow and evolve.

That's why you came here.

That's its purpose.

But this little s,

The ego,

Pushes in the brakes,

Clutches,

And says,

You know what,

At least the pain is familiar.

At least I know that love hurts,

And I can avoid love altogether.

I can just get through this lifetime avoiding love.

Eh,

Doesn't really lead to a very bright future.

Instead of the challenge that the soul and spirit wants you to grow,

Start questioning what you were taught and conditioned to believe.

All of that can set you free.

But what is this tug of war between you and your ego?

That tug of war is that all change,

Little changes and big changes.

Cleaning out your closet to being transferred to your job to another state.

Big changes,

Little changes.

Positive changes or negative changes.

They all have something in common.

Positive changes,

Getting married,

Having kids,

Starting a new career,

Traveling.

All of those positive changes and negative changes.

Getting divorced,

Losing a child,

God forbid.

The positive changes and the negative changes.

The big changes,

The little changes.

They all have something in common that you resist.

What they have in common and why you resist that change is they all change produces chaos.

The bigger the change,

The greater the chaos.

The littler the change,

The little bit of chaos.

That is the part that the ego and you resist is the chaos that you have to go through.

That's required,

That you can't avoid to get to the change.

Here's this tug of war.

I want to change,

I want to grow,

And at the same time,

I don't want to go through chaos.

I'm afraid of chaos because it throws me out of my control,

Says our ego.

It doesn't look perfect,

Says the perfectionist.

It gets messy and sloppy.

When I'm in that chaos where I'm in between the changes that I want,

I'm in the transition between the past,

The future,

Between the change that I want and the change that's being made,

But I'm not there yet.

I'm not on the other side.

There's chaos.

I need to learn to realize,

First of all,

The thing to change is how you think and relate to chaos.

Because if you can change the way you think about chaos,

Most people think of it as just negative,

Right?

Oh,

Avoid chaos at all costs.

That's what our ego does.

Avoid chaos.

That's what society's set up to do is to put up streetlights and stop signs so that the chaos would abate.

We could be orderly and create order.

That's beautiful and that's important and that's necessary.

But chaos isn't inherently bad or negative.

It's your relationship to it that's going to determine the outcome of the change.

So when I can learn to dance with chaos,

For instance,

If somebody were to throw you a surprise birthday party,

That's a positive chaos,

Isn't it?

You come home and you turn on your lights and all your friends are there wishing you happy 60th birthday.

Oh my God,

All this chaos.

I wasn't expecting this.

I'm thrown into chaos,

But it's a joyful chaos.

Joy is chaotic.

There's a positive chaos out there.

It's not all negative,

But because we think of chaos as only negative,

Which the only negative part is that your ego gets threatened.

Your ego says,

I'm not in control.

I don't know what's going to happen next.

There's the unknown.

I'm not there yet.

Are we there yet?

No,

I'm in between.

We're getting there.

Your ego says,

But I'm insecure because I feel powerless.

I feel afraid.

I feel that the world's out to get me.

I'm not safe.

Chaos becomes a threat.

Then I got to control in order to make changes.

Well,

That doesn't work.

You have to actually surrender the control to allow the change to happen elegantly and with grace.

What do you need to embrace in order to surrender control is trust.

Again,

Trust.

I don't know how this is going to unfold,

But I trust that it will.

I trust that I live in a universe,

In a world that is very intelligent,

That has this wisdom.

I'm not talking about humankind.

I'm not talking about humanity.

I'm talking about the world,

The evolution of consciousness,

The world itself.

God,

God is all that is.

There's this divine intelligence and it lives within you.

It is governing your heartbeat,

Your lungs and your breathing,

Your cell regeneration when you cut your finger.

That's this intelligence that you are.

It's a part of you,

But you don't identify with it.

When you let that in,

The universe is an intelligence.

I need to learn to trust.

I can't see a solution for my problem.

I don't understand where this is going to lead,

But I trust life.

I trust my higher self and soul.

Like I said earlier,

Doesn't mean you're going to do your life perfectly.

Doesn't mean you're not going to get off track,

Go down a dead end,

But your soul and spirit and higher self will guide you back onto track.
