Serenity.

When we consciously cultivate serenity,

We are more centered,

Balanced,

And accepting of life.

Serenity is the cornerstone to recovery.

The everyday challenges of life are a proving ground for the practice of sourcing serenity.

When we are faced with a person,

Place,

Or condition that makes us uncomfortable,

We can choose in that moment to look for positive aspects in all of these areas.

Making peace with what is creates serenity.

Reinhold Niebuhr said,

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

The courage to change the things I can,

And the wisdom to know the difference.

What spiritual techniques do you currently practice,

Or could you add to your daily practice to create more serenity in your life?

What's the first thing you do when you feel out of sync with serenity?

I feel great when I choose serenity and think positive thoughts.
