As well as meditation,

And I tried to come up with a course about kintsugi,
Which is actually quite a visual metaphor for life,
For.

When something,
You know,
Breaks in life or when,
You know,
We have all these fragments in life and we're wondering how to put them together.
So I have here some pieces of a ceramic bowl that was once whole and then.

Yeah,
It was,
It was,
It fell apart and then we tried to repair it.
And so I'm recording this.
I really want to share with you one of my videos I did in Japan.
So we did two videos of Kintsugi Masters.
It's almost 12 years ago.
And I'm so happy that you're here.
I'm so happy that we have this opportunity to share videos now on Insight Timer.
And what I would love to ask you is that you take,

My course no one can make you resilient but you are resilient otherwise you wouldn't be here watching this But of course,
Life sometimes demands of us inner strength.
Sometimes our hope is questioned.
Sometimes.
We think we are in control and we aren't.
And sometimes things are also falling apart.
It could be relationships.
It could be lives.
It could be people in our lives.
It could be anything you can think of.
And this is my experience in my life that I'm not in control.
But I could learn something out of Kintsugi.
That there's an art.
From the traditional Japanese arts coming.
Of repairing and giving these things a new form,
A new Gestalt.
It becomes a new creature.
It reminds of the old and it becomes something within you.
And so with this upcoming video series,
I really want to share with you two free stories of our Kintsugi journey over the past decade.
Another video will be a Kintsugi story that was told by a participant of one of our seminars.
And she grabbed the microphone and she really wanted to share.
Her story.
And so you will find this as well.
And let me tell you one Think more about Japanese pottery maybe you didn't know yet.
Maybe at some point you grabbed a piece of Chinese pottery.
Maybe I'm living in Europe,
A piece of European pottery.
And there are different philosophies in the way,
Yeah,
These,
Let's say,
Cultures handle.
Clay handle ceramics and build out this beautiful cups.
This is a Raku firebrand and Yeah,
It's very,
Very strong on the outside.
It's very thick.
And at the same time it's really light.
And I was told by a pottery master that Um,
In Japanese we have this saying,
You know,
Life is.
.
.
Let's say hard enough.
Sometimes right It demands a lot.
So why should we make the cup heavy?
Why don't we make the cup light?
Lighter than it appears.
So if you grab wonderful piece like this,
You will be astonished how light this is.
Because life is hard enough.
And there's nothing wrong with doing really heavy ceramics.
That would be more the Chinese way.
And the European way is to really make it almost perfect from the outside.
And the Japanese way is more It's more perfect on the inside.
Whether I'm not saying that this is the right way,
But it's a different way.
And this is also how we can look at life.
We can look at the outer appearances of people.
But what is really going on inside?
And that's what I'm inviting you to,
To see Kintsugi as this metaphor where things are rebuilt.
From the inside out and then some parts.
That's our scars.
They will become golden.
And even parts that couldn't be filled,
You know,
They are made,
You know.
Like whole again with Urushi Lekwa.
That is put into these holes and then gold on top.
And as you know,
Gold in all the traditions,
In all religious traditions,
In philosophy,
Wherever,
Is a symbol of like this ultimate value.
And what can be more valuable than your life,
Your unique life,
With all the fragments,
With all the things?
Yeah,
And it may not look perfect but it's beautiful.
With the scars of gold.
